Percutaneous laser thermal angioplasty with a hot tip fiber was used in 26 patients to recanalize 20 femoropopliteal occlusions, 5 iliac thromboses and one occlusion of the left subclavian artery. Initial angiographic success was achieved in 85% for the femoropopliteal lesions and in 60% for the iliac occlusions. Eight complications did occur, but none necessitated emergency bypass surgery.

Urinary exosome metabolite analysis has demonstrated notable advantages in uncovering disease status, yet its potential in decoding the intricacies of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains untapped. To address this, a core-shell magnetic titanium organic framework was designed to capture urinary exosomes and assist laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (LDI MS) to decipher the exosomal metabolic profile of ccRCC, with high sensitivity, throughput, and speed. A total of 492 urinary exosome metabolite fingerprints (UEMFs) from 176 samples were extracted for exploring the differences between ccRCC and healthy individuals.

Objectives: The objective of current article is the preparation of an electronic library with educational materials in the area of physical medicine, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and the comparative evaluation of the impact of this repository on the quality of education of students and trainees in the field.
Methodology: The electronic library includes e-books on different topics, elements of the specialty "Physical and rehabilitation medicine (PRM)" or Physiatry - with theoretical data, practical issues and case reports with videos of real patients.

Background: The management of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) requires a multidisciplinary approach to ensure sustainable treatment results, especially in the advanced stages. Traditionally, deroofing and wide excision represented commonly employed surgical techniques. Due to the recurrent nature of HS, tissue preservation should be a relevant aspect of surgical management.

Objective: Helicobacter pylori is known for colonizing the gastric mucosa and instigating severe upper gastrointestinal diseases such as gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcers, and gastric cancer. To date, there is no data available on the oral cavity as transmission site, whether H. pylori can survive in the oral cavity or in human saliva.

For the last decade, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) has been the reference method for species identification in clinical microbiology. Hampered by a historical lack of open data, machine learning research towards models specifically adapted to MALDI-TOF MS remains in its infancy. Given the growing complexity of available datasets (such as large-scale antimicrobial resistance prediction), a need for models that (1) are specifically designed for MALDI-TOF MS data, and (2) have high representational capacity, presents itself.
