Bacterial leaf blight (BLB) in rice, caused by the pathogen pv. , is a significant agricultural problem managed through chemical control and cultivating rice varieties with inherent resistance to the bacterial pathogen. Research has highlighted the potential of using antagonistic microbes which can suppress the BLB pathogen through the production of secondary metabolites like siderophores, rhamnolipids, and hydroxy-alkylquinolines offering a sustainable alternative for BLB management.

Off-target evaluation is essential in preclinical safety assessments of novel biotherapeutics, supporting lead molecule selection, endpoint selection in toxicology studies, and regulatory requirements for first-in-human trials. Off-target interaction of a therapeutic antibody and antibody derivatives has been historically assessed via the Tissue Cross-Reactivity (TCR) study, in which the candidate molecule is used as a reagent in immunohistochemistry (IHC) to assess binding of the candidate molecule to a panel of human tissue sections. The TCR approach is limited by the performance of the therapeutic as an IHC reagent, which is often suboptimal to outright infeasible.

The mutant waxy allele (wx1) is responsible for increased amylopectin in maize starch, with a wide range of food and industrial applications. The amino acid profile of waxy maize resembles normal maize, making it particularly deficient in lysine and tryptophan. Therefore, the present study explored the combined effects of genes governing carbohydrate and protein composition on nutritional profile and kernel physical properties by crossing Quality Protein Maize (QPM) (o2o2/wx1wx1) and waxy (o2o2/wx1wx1) parents.

Simulation-based approaches for setting indirect outcome-based analytical performance specifications (APS) predominantly involve test repetition through analytical reruns or resampling. These methodologies assess the agreement between original and simulated measurement results, determining the APS corresponding to pre-established performance thresholds. For APS related to imprecision and bias, both analytical performance characteristics (APCs) are typically considered in simulations, whereas for APS regarding measurement uncertainty, bias is excluded in alignment with traceability standards.

A number of studies demonstrate the therapeutic effectiveness of Radix Bupleuri (RB) and Hedysarum Multijugum Maxim (HMM) in treating liver fibrosis, but the exact molecular mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to explore the mechanism of RB-HMM drug pairs in treating liver fibrosis by using network pharmacology, bioinformatics, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation technology and in vitro experiments. Totally, 155 intersection targets between RB-HMM and liver fibrosis were identified.
