Introduction And Hypothesis: Telehealth is becoming more common, but there is a paucity of literature investigating the role of telehealth in perioperative gynecologic care. The authors hypothesized that patients evaluated via telehealth 4 weeks after minimally invasive hysterectomy would not have lower satisfaction than patients evaluated in clinic.
Methods: This was a randomized controlled noninferiority trial of patients who underwent minimally invasive hysterectomy at a single academic medical center.

In 2018, we estimated that eligibility for and response to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapies were 44% and 12%, respectively. Since these estimates were published, there have been additional approvals. We sought to provide updated estimates of the percentage of patients with advanced and/or metastatic cancers in the US who are eligible for and respond to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).

Aim: Accumulated data suggest that routine use of defunctioning stoma in low anterior resection for rectal cancer may cause kidney injury, bowel dysfunction and a higher risk of permanent stomas. We aim to study whether avoidance of a diverting stoma in selected patients is safe and reduces adverse consequences.
Methods: SELSA is a multicentre international prospective observational study nesting an open-label randomized clinical trial.

In 2012, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released STEADI (Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths and Injuries) toolkit which is based on the 2011 American Geriatrics Society/British Geriatrics Society (AGS/BGS) fall prevention guideline. In 2024, the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), via a Cooperative Award with the CDC of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), invited AGS to recommend updates to STEADI with a focus on falls prevention in primary care. An AGS workgroup reviewed the 2022/2024 publications and held three outreach events with stakeholders (448 participants) to get feedback on current STEADI materials and draft recommendations focused on primary care.
