ABA-type amphiphiles bearing a triazole-based aromatic block were easily synthesized using click chemistry, which act as fluorescent turn-off Hg(2+)-chemoprobes in an aqueous solution. Interestingly, the metal-binding process of amphiphiles induced nanoassemblies even below the CMCs, and the binding stoichiometry affected the morphologies of the resultant nanostructures.

Purpose: Cannabidiol (CBD) is a promising therapeutic drug with low addictive potential and a favorable safety profile. However, CBD did face certain challenges, including poor solubility in water and low oral bioavailability. To harness the potential of CBD by combining it with a transdermal drug delivery system (TDDS).

This study introduces two innovative nanocarrier systems to improve oral drug delivery. Desosomes and desimicelles combine Deep eutectic solvent (DES) with vesicular or micellar nanosystems, respectively. These novel nanosystems integrate the DES solubilization potency for administering drugs with low aqueous solubility and the vesicular and micellar systems to bypass physiological barriers and improve poor drug bioavailability.

The present study investigated the feasibility of fabricating self-assembled liposomes, LeciPlex®, a phospholipid-based vesicular nanocarrier using cationic, anionic, and nonionic stabilizers. The phospholipid investigated was soy phosphatidylcholine and the nano-precipitation method based on solvent diffusion was applied as the fabrication technique of liposomes in this study. The effects of various formulation variables, such as lipid and stabilizer concentration, total solid concentration, and solvent type on the self-assembly of vesicles were studied for physical characterization including particle size analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, viscosity, optical transmittance, transmission electron microscopy, and small angle neutron scattering.

Salicylic acid (SA) finds extensive applications in the treatment of rheumatic and skin diseases because of its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and exfoliating properties. As it is lipophilic in nature, there is a need for appropriate delivery systems to harness these properties for different applications. Herein, we examined the suitability of Pluronic P123/F127 micellar systems as delivery media by investigating the structural, flow and antimicrobial properties of P123/F127-SA solutions and hydrogels using DLS, SANS, rheological and zone inhibition measurement techniques.

Background: little information is availaible on the effect of fructose on bile lipids. The first stage in the formation of gallstones corresponds to biliary cholesterol crystallization, derived from the vesicular transporters. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of consuming diets with different fructose concentrations on serum lipids and their implications on gallstones formation.
