Seven reactive dyes judiciously selected based on chemical structures and fixation mechanisms were applied at 2% of of shade on amidoximated acrylic fabrics. Amidoximated acrylic fabric has been obtained by a viable amidoximation process. The dyeability of these fabrics was evaluated with respect to the dye exhaustion, fixation, and colour strength under different conditions of temperature and dyeing time. Nucleophilic addition type reactive dyes show higher colour data compared to nucleophilic substitution ones. FTIR studies further implicate the binding of reactive dyes on these fabrics. A tentative mechanism is proposed to rationalize the high fixation yield obtained using nucleophilic addition type reactive dyes. Also, the levelling and fastness properties were evaluated for all dyes used. Excellent to good fastness and levelling properties were obtained for all samples irrespective of the dye used. The result of investigation offers a new method for a viable reactive dyeing of amidoximated acrylic fabrics.

The textile industry is one of the main industries that benefited from the industrial revolution. Therefore, discharging of dyes from textile, paper, plastic, and rubber industries is inevitable. This colored wastewater prevents sunlight penetration and highly affects water sources.

The current work focused on the synthesis of C/N-co-doped-ZnO nanorods a facile, eco-friendly, and solvent-free mechano-thermal approach. The synthesized C/N-co-doped ZnO nanorods were employed for the photocatalytic decay of methylene blue (MB) and brilliant cresyl blue (BCB) dyes, and their degradation capability was compared with that of pure ZnO nanoparticles prepared a precipitation approach.

This research highlights a sustainable approach for the design and synthesis of a magnetic nickel ferrite (NiFeO) catalyst reutilizing industrial waste, specifically iron ore tailing and Raney nickel catalyst processing waste, by simple co-precipitation method. Transforming waste materials into high-performance catalysts, this study aligns with the principles of a circular economy, addressing both environmental waste and pollution. Structural characterization by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and microscopic (FESEM and TEM) revealed the formation of well crystalline nano ferrite with NiFeO nanoparticles with cubic spinel structure.

A novel series of azo dyes was successfully synthesized by combining amino benzoic acid and amino phenol on the same molecular framework azo linkage. The structural elucidation of these dyes was carried out using various spectroscopic techniques, including UV-vis, FT-IR, NMR spectroscopy, and HRMS. Surprisingly, the aromatic proton in some dyes exhibited exchangeability in DO, prompting a 2D NMR analysis to confirm this phenomenon.

Adsorbents with high selectivity and adsorption capacity are of significant interest for the removal of dye pollutants. Herein, we report a facile low-temperature solvothermal synthesis of clew-like CuO/CuO microspheres by using cupric acetate monohydrate as the copper resource and ethylene glycol as the solvent and morphology modulator. The synthesized CuO/CuO microspheres showed high selective adsorption to anionic dyes (e.
