Published: November 2014

CH3NH3PbI3 based photodetectors were fabricated by a facile low-cost process with much enhanced performance. The rise time changed from 2.7 s to 0.02 s, the decay time from 0.5 s to 0.02 s, and the ON/OFF ratio tripled with improved stability. The results indicate that perovskites are promising light-harvesting materials for photodetectors.

Polarization-Sensitive Solar-Blind Ultraviolet Photodetectors Based on Semipolar (112̅2) AlGaN Film.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

Research and Development Center for Wide Bandgap Semiconductors, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100083, China.

Wide bandgap semiconductor AlGaN alloys have been identified as key materials to fabricate solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors (SBUV PDs). Herein, a self-driven SBUV polarization-sensitive PD (PSPD) based on semipolar (112̅2)-oriented AlGaN films is reported. Using the flow-rate modulation epitaxy method, the full widths at half maximum (FWHMs) for the obtained (112̅2) AlGaN along [112̅3̅] and [11̅00] rocking curves are 0.

Au-In Alloy for Excellent Ohmic Contact in GeSe Devices with Enhanced Photodetector Properties.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

January 2025

Key Laboratory of MEMS of Ministry of Education, School of Integrated Circuits, Southeast University, Nanjing 210096, China.

Metal-semiconductor contact plays a significant role in devices such as transistors, photoemitters, and photodetectors. Here, the AuIn alloy contact gives a state-of-the-art low (contact resistance) in GeSe devices. The of GeSe-AuIn is measured to be 25 kΩ μm under channel carrier concentration around = 2.

Multithermal fluid (MTF) component ratios and injection parameters are critical inputs in offshore heavy oil development, such as injection adjustment and monitoring, productivity prediction, and generator combustion process optimization. We implement simultaneous in situ diagnostics of two emblematic injection parameters, the gas-water ratio (GWR) and noncondensable gases proportion (NCGP), in a pilot-scale environment. A system-level integration of a novel laser absorption spectroscopy multigas sensor system based on integrating stray radiation suppression and a circular cell-enhanced strategy is proposed.

Infrared (IR) photodetectors play a crucial role in modern technologies due to their ability to operate in various environmental conditions. This study developed high-performance InSe/GaAs interdiffusion heterostructure photodetectors with broadband response using liquid-phase method. It is believed that an InGaAs layer and InSe have been formed at the interface through the mutual diffusion of elements, resulting in a detection spectral range spanning from 0.

Recent advances in near-field interference detection, inspired by the non-Hermitian coupling-induced directional sensing of Ormia ochracea, have demonstrated the potential of paired semiconductor nanowires for compact light field detection without optical filters. However, practical implementation faces significant challenges including limited active area, architectural scaling constraints, and incomplete characterization of angular and polarization information. Here, we demonstrate a filterless vector light field photodetector, leveraging the angle- and polarization-sensitive near-field interference of non-Hermitian semiconductor nanostructures.
