Retinal vein occlusion (RVO) is a common clinical disease causing vision loss. Risk factors such as diabetes, atherosclerosis are closely associated with RVO. Xuesaitong injection is used extensively in clinical treatment of RVO, however the mechanism is still unclear. In this study, we investigated the protective effect of Xuesaitong injection on RVO rat model. Using a compound-target network of Xuesaitong on anti-RVO constructed by literature mining, we aim to elucidate the multi-compound, multi-target effect of Xuesaitong injection. Fifteen potential targets of Xuesaitong injection associated with inflammation, angiogenesis, apoptosis, and coagulation were identified in this study. VEGF, IL-1beta and IL-6, three important targets in the compound-target network were further experimentally validated. This study provided experimental evidence for Xuesaitong injection being effective in treating RVO and a network view on its anti-RVO mode of action through a multi-compound and multiple-target mechanism.

Evaluating the consistency of herb injectable formulations could improve their product quality and clinical safety, particularly concerning the composition and content levels of trace ingredients. Panax notoginseng Saponins Injection (PNSI), widely used in China for treating acute cardiovascular diseases, contains low-abundance (10%-25%) and trace saponins in addition to its five main constituents (notoginsenoside R, ginsenoside Rg, ginsenoside Re, ginsenoside Rb, and ginsenoside Rd). This study aimed to establish a robust analytical method and assess the variability in trace saponin levels within PNSI from different vendors and formulation types.

This study aimed to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of different Chinese medicine injections combined with conventional western medicine for stable angina pectoris. PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and SinoMed were searched to collect randomized controlled trial(RCT) of Chinese medicine injection combined with conventio-nal western medicine in the treatment of stable angina pectoris from the inception of the databases to July 8, 2022. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted the data, and evaluated the risk of bias of the included studies.

In view of the high morbidity and mortality of Diabetes mellitus-Coronary heart disease (DM-CHD) in diabetics, the combination therapy of traditional Chinese medicine injections (TCMIs) and conventional therapy (CT) is receiving extensive attention. Therefore, the effectiveness and security of conventional therapy with traditional Chinese medicine injections in the therapy of diabetes mellitus-coronary heart disease were compared by systematical review and network meta-analysis. According to the preset inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, we searched seven electronic literature databases from their inception to JAN 5,2022, to obtain the relevant RCT literature on the therapy of diabetes mellitus-coronary heart disease with traditional Chinese medicine injections.

Ischemic stroke is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in neurological diseases. Numerous studies have evaluated the efficacy and safety of ischemic stroke therapies, but clinical data were largely inconsistent. Therefore, it is necessary to summarize and analyze the published clinical research data in the field.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention among real-world surgical inpatients who received panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) combined with low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH).
Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted among surgical patients between January 2016 and November 2018 in Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. Participants received LMWH alone or PNS combined with LMWH for preventing DVT.
