Tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS) are lymphoid formations that develop in non-lymphoid tissues during chronic inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Accurate identification and quantification of TLS in tissue can provide crucial insights into the immune response of several disease processes including antitumor immune response. TLS are defined as aggregates of T cells, B cells and dendritic cells.

Telomerase is reactivated by genomic TERT rearrangements in ~30% of diagnosed high-risk neuroblastomas. Dismal patient prognosis results if the RAS/MAPK/ALK signaling transduction network also harbors mutations. We present a liquid biopsy-based monitoring strategy for this particularly vulnerable pediatric patient subgroup, for whom real-time molecular diagnostic tools are limited to date.

BPV1, BPV2, BPV13, and BPV14 are all genotypes of bovine delta papillomaviruses (δPV), of which the first three cause infections in horses and are associated with equine sarcoids. However, BPV14 infection has never been reported in equine species. In this study, we examined 58 fresh and thawed commercial semen samples from healthy stallions.

Background: Owing to high sensitivity and ability for absolute quantification, the droplet digital polymerase chain reaction (ddPCR) is widely used for viral and bacterial detection. However, few studies have been conducted on the application of ddPCR to identify the original plant species used in traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese patent medicine.
Purpose: In this study, we investigated the feasibility of using ddPCR to differentiate between Notopterygium incisum and N.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA integration into the host cell genome is reportedly a major cause of liver cancer, and a source of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). High HBsAg levels can alter immune responses which therefore contributes to the progression of HBV-related disease. However, to what extent integration leads to the persistent circulating HBsAg is unclear.
