Introduction: Globally, one in five individuals faces unemployment, which substantially increases their risk of developing mental disorders. Understanding the relationship between unemployment and specific mental health outcomes is crucial for formulating effective policy interventions.
Methods: This study examines the relationship between unemployment and mental disorders across 201 countries from 1970 to 2020.

Oxidative stress, characterized by the damaging accumulation of free radicals, is associated with various diseases, including cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, and metabolic disorders. The transcription factor Nrf2 is pivotal in cellular defense against oxidative stress by regulating genes that detoxify free radicals, thus maintaining redox homeostasis and preventing cellular aging. Keap1 plays a regulatory role through its interaction with Nrf2, ensuring Nrf2 degradation under homeostatic conditions and facilitating its stabilization and nuclear translocation during oxidative stress.

Epoxy resin (EP) is an outstanding polymer material known for its low cost, ease of preparation, excellent electrical insulation properties, mechanical strength, and chemical stability. It is widely used in high- and ultra-high-voltage power transmission and transformation equipment. However, as voltage levels continue to increase, EP materials are gradually failing to meet the performance demands of operational environments.

Distributed denial of service (DDoS) is a type of cyberattack in which multiple compromised systems flood the bandwidth or resources of a single system, making the flooded system inaccessible to legitimate users. Since large-scale botnets based on the Internet of Things (IoT) have been hotbeds for launching DDoS attacks, it is crucial to defend against DDoS-capable IoT botnets effectively. In consideration of resource constraints and frequent state changes for IoT devices, they should be equipped with repair measures that are cost-effective and adaptive to mitigate the impact of DDoS attacks.

Background: Perivascular spaces (PVS) on brain MRI are surrogates for small parenchymal blood vessels and their perivascular compartment, and may relate to brain health. However, it is unknown whether PVS can predict dementia risk and brain atrophy trajectories in participants without dementia, as longitudinal studies on PVS are scarce and current methods for PVS assessment lack robustness and inter-scanner reproducibility.
Methods: We developed a robust algorithm to automatically assess PVS count and size on clinical MRI, and investigated 1) their relationship with dementia risk and brain atrophy in participants without dementia, 2) their longitudinal evolution, and 3) their potential use as a screening tool in simulated clinical trials.
