Flail chest is a life-threatening condition characterized by multiple rib fractures that result in a partially free rib cage. Thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) allows visualization of the needle tip under ultrasound guidance and can be safely performed, unlike epidural anesthesia where the needle tip cannot be visualized. Here, we describe a case of flail chest in whom TPVB was used, as it provides the same level of analgesia as epidural anesthesia and has a perfect analgesic effect.

GECs are used for stent delivery into the coronary arteries of patients with difficult anatomy due to tortuosity, calcification, or chronic total occlusion (CTO) vessels. Stent and balloon placement has become challenging in patients with increasing lesion complexity due to tortuosity, vessel morphology, length of the lesion, and respiratory movements.

Perioperative and critical care management following penetrating thoracic trauma represents a complex challenge. Those who survive the early trauma approach and reach the hospital alive often remain in critical condition, with cardiocirculatory complications and major pulmonary injuries. Additional difficulty arises from the presence of a weapon , particularly in a dorsal location, which limits patient positioning, and the safe manipulation of both the weapon and the patient.

Background: The standard treatment for thymomatous myasthenia gravis (TMG) patients is thymectomy, whereas its role in non-TMG (NTMG) is still under debate. The objective of this study is to assess myasthenia gravis (MG) outcomes of thymectomy using the uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (UVATS) technique for both groups and evaluate the procedure's efficacy and safety.
Methods: We retrospectively collected data from January 2019 to December 2022 at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
