We present the case of a 29-years-old male patient, affected by a voluminous post-traumatic mesenteric cyst, a rare abdominal disease; our patient represents a rarely affected age group. Treatment was based on interventional radiology with an US-guided drainage and sclerosis by ethyl alcohol of the lesion. The intervention performed on this patient represents the application of a standardized radiological technique to a new contest, mesenteric cysts, whose gold-standard treatment is represented in literature by surgery. In our case we obtained an optimal result, with complete regression of the treated cyst: it proved to be an effective, feasible, safe and minimally invasive procedure.

Thoracic descending aortic perforation with overlap syndrome (systemic sclerosis and dermatomyositis) is a rare, unreported vascular pathology. We describe the case of a 75-year-old woman who presented with chest tightness, back pain, and dyspnea. Computed tomography revealed a pinhole rupture in the descending aorta.

Background: External ventricular drains (EVDs) are placed in patients with increased intracranial pressure (ICP) to serve as a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure flow diverter and ICP monitor. EVD management practice among institutions and practitioners varies greatly, with little evidence supporting ideal ICP recording and CSF drainage practice.

Objective: This study's aim is to determine variations in ICP across 21 min before and after CSF drainage.

Background: The cerebral fluid-dynamic system plays a critical role in maintaining brain health and function. Recent studies identify the glymphatic system as primarily responsible for removing waste products and toxins from brain tissue. In recent years, we have achieved beneficial improvements in MS patients' symptoms and lifestyle using a specific Fluid Dynamic Intensive MAM (FD-MAM) protocol.

Background And Purpose: Prognostication in patients with spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) can be challenging. The aim of this study was to assess whether cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) red blood cell (RBC) count and total protein (TP) concentration are associated with SAH prognosis.

Methods: Patients with SAH treated at the neurological intensive care unit (ICU) in Innsbruck were included in this real-world, observational study.

Background: Encapsulated peritoneal sclerosis (EPS) is a serious complication in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD). Neutral-pH dialysate is associated with less peritoneal damage and a lower incidence of EPS than conventional PD solution. However, monitoring for peritoneal damage and predicting EPS remain important during PD therapy.
