The fourteenth edition of the workshop covered the latest advances in internal and external radiotherapy obtained through a better understanding of the adaptive capacity of the tumor and its microenvironment, from different disciplinary angles, chemistry, biology, physics, and medicine, paving the way for numerous technological innovations. The biological aspects and the contribution of imaging in monitoring and understanding the adaptation of tumors to radiotherapy were presented, before focusing on innovative radiotherapy strategies and machine learning and data-driven techniques. Finally, the challenges were explored in the radiobiology of targeted radionuclide therapy as well as data science and machine learning in radiomics.

A summary of the Fourteenth International Symposium on the Neurobiology and Neuroendocrinology of Aging that was held July 15-20, 2018 in Bregenz, Austria, is presented. Seventeen of the speakers that presented at the conference submitted papers relevant to the topic of their presentation as well as overviews of their respective fields and are included in this special issue. The abstracts from each poster presentation as well as the speaker abstracts are also included at the end of the preface to the special issue.

The 14th Annual Scientific Meeting of the SCCT, held from July 11 to July 14 in Baltimore, MA, was attended by 830 attendees from 31 countries, with a program that included 45 sessions, and 26 exhibitors. This article summarizes several of the key themes and topics that were presented at this meeting, and provides an overview of the technical advances that are likely to impact future clinical practice in cardiovascular computed tomography.
