Synovial chondromatosis is a rare, benign condition characterized by the formation of intra-articular cartilaginous loose bodies, which arise as a result of synovial membrane metaplasia. Due to pain, edema, and joint dysfunction, synovial chondromatosis can result in severe morbidity even though it is a self-limiting condition. In order to avoid problems, such as joint degeneration, early diagnosis and treatment is essential.

Tenosynovial giant cell tumors (TGCTs) are benign histo-fibrocystic tumors originating from the synovium of joints, bursae, or tendon sheaths. They are categorized into localized and diffuse types, each with distinct clinical presentations and management approaches. The diffuse form, which is rare, generally affects a single joint and is characterized by joint swelling, pain, functional limitation, and often hemarthrosis.

Trochlear dysplasia is a major contributor to patellofemoral instability and subsequent failure of isolated soft tissue reconstruction procedures in the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation and/or subluxation. Trochleoplasty procedures aim to address abnormal osseous trochlear morphologic factors that contribute to patellar maltracking. However, teaching these techniques is limited by the lack of reliable training models for trochlear dysplasia and trochleoplasty simulation.

Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare disease characterized by the proliferation of the synovial membrane of a joint, tendon sheath, or bursa. TGCTs in joints are subdivided into the diffuse or localized type. The localized TGCT most frequently affects the knee and may occur in any knee compartment.

Unlabelled: Diffuse tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT), also known as pigmented villonodular synovitis, is a benign, neoplastic disease of the synovium that can lead to joint destruction, osteoarthritis, and long-term morbidity. Often, there is extra-articular involvement in the intercondylar notch and posterior soft tissues. A complete anterior and posterior synovectomy of the knee is indicated for treating diffuse TGCT when the anterior and posterior compartments of the knee joint are involved.
