In rabbits with implanted electrodes, a diminished reactivity of vascular vessels to functional tests of physical and chemical nature was revealed although the level of cerebral blood flow generally increased. This suggests a reduction of compensatory capacity of the brain circulation system which can result in a change of the brain tissue water balance under the effects leading to an alteration of cerebral outflow and sometimes accompanying seasickness. This was corroborated by the evidence on a change in cerebral tissue impedance under the combined effect of antiorthostatism and seasickness, as well as by the evidence on dynamics of cerebral rheogram pulse waves.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease marked by systemic inflammation. While RA primarily affects the joints, its systemic effects may lead to an increased cerebro- and cardiovascular risk. Atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries is a significant risk factor for cerebrovascular events and serves as a surrogate marker for cardiovascular risk.

Delayed tooth extraction socket (TES) healing can cause failure of subsequent oral implantation and increase socioeconomic burden on patients. Excessive amounts of M1 macrophages, apoptotic neutrophils (ANs), and neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) impair alveolar bone regeneration during TES healing. In the present study, we first discovered that conditioned medium (CM) collected from berberine-treated human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BBR-HB-CM) accelerated TES healing.

To validate the clinical feasibility of deep learning-driven magnetic resonance angiography (DL-driven MRA) collateral map in acute ischemic stroke. We employed a 3D multitask regression and ordinal regression deep neural network, called as 3D-MROD-Net, to generate DL-driven MRA collateral maps. Two raters graded the collateral perfusion scores of both conventional and DL-driven MRA collateral maps and measured the grading time.

Background: Evidence suggests that emotional status affect physical health. We aimed to investigate the association of different emotional support sources with morbidity or mortality of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases (CVDs).
Methods: We conducted a retrospective-cohort analysis using data in National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 1999 to 2004.

Background: In light of growing evidence highlighting interactions between cardiac and brain health, we investigated associations of biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases with adverse outcomes (all-cause and cardiovascular mortality, major cardiovascular events, and stroke) in persons with chronic coronary syndrome (CCS).
Methods: We used data from a cohort of persons with CCS for whom major adverse events were recorded over a follow-up of 20 years. We measured biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases in baseline blood samples, using the Single-Molecule Array Technology on a HD-1 Analyzer.
