Introduction: There is a risk of iatrogenic vascular injuries during robotic-assisted laparoscopic excision of diaphragmatic endometriosis. Although studies are limited, the first reported case of a suprahepatic inferior vena cava (IVC) injury during robotic diaphragmatic endometriosis excision was successfully treated using a fibrin sealant patch, preventing exsanguination and conversion to laparotomy.
Case Description: A 36-year-old female with a history of recurrent catamenial pneumothorax and two prior video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries to treat diaphragmatic endometriosis presented to our clinic with right-sided shoulder pain and a chest tube in place.

Injuries to the inferior vena cava (IVC) carry high risks and mortality rates. We present a case of suprahepatic IVC injury that was successfully treated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) graft insertion without cardiopulmonary bypass. A 46-year-old woman was transferred to our trauma centre after a high-speed motor vehicle collision.

Background And Objectives: This study evaluates the prognostic value of venous tumor thrombus (VTT) in patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) undergoing radical resection and inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombectomy.
Methods: Retrospective review of patients with radical nephrectomy for RCC and associated VTT (2000-2024). Patients were dichotomized into Neves 0-II (infrahepatic) and Neves III-IV groups (suprahepatic) IVC involvement for univariate analysis.

Background Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) dysfunction in patients with liver cirrhosis and recurrent symptoms of portal hypertension is primarily assessed with US and confirmed with invasive catheter venography, which can be used to measure the portosystemic pressure gradient (PSPG) to identify TIPS-refractory portal hypertension. To avoid the risks and costs of invasive catheter venography, noninvasive PSPG evaluation strategies are needed. Purpose To demonstrate the feasibility of the combination of four-dimensional (4D) flow MRI with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for noninvasive PSPG assessment in participants with cirrhosis and TIPS.
