Post-embedding labelling techniques with colloidal gold-IgG or -protein A complexes were used to determine the subcellular location of IFN alpha 1 and staphylokinase secreted from Bacillus subtilis GB500 cells. Both proteins were present in the cytoplasma and the cell envelope pointing to a posttranslational mode of translocation across the cytoplasmic membrane. 5- to 10-fold higher concentrations of gold particles per 0.1 micron 2 were found on the cell envelope and clustering was observed suggesting preferential regions for secretion sites. Several control experiments ensured the specificity of the labelling data.

Seeking effective improvement agent control measures to enhance the photosynthetic physiological traits and yield levels of spring maize is crucial for efficient green agriculture in arid regions. Therefore, this study was conducted to clarify the effects of coupling improvement agents under magnetoelectric activated water irrigation conditions on the photosynthetic physiological traits, grain nutrients, and yield of spring maize in the arid region of northwest China. Field experiments were set up with three concentrations of growth regulators: 400 times (G1), 500 times (G2), and 600 times (G3), and three amounts of : 15 kg/ha (R1), 45 kg/ha (R2), and 75 kg/ha (R3), along with a control group CK, making a total of 10 treatments applied in the field experiment.

Azurin, a bacterial blue-copper protein, has garnered significant attention as a potential anticancer drug in recent years. Among twenty Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates, we identified one isolate that demonstrated potent and remarkable azurin synthesis using the VITEK 2 system and 16S rRNA sequencing. The presence of the azurin gene was confirmed in the genomic DNA using specific oligonucleotide primers, and azurin expression was also detected in the synthesized cDNA, which revealed that the azurin expression is active.

DM9 domain-containing protein (DM9CP) as pattern recognition molecule is involved in regulating the inflammation-related signaling pathway in invertebrates. In the present study, a DM9CP with two tandem DM9 repeats (designated as CgDM9CP-8) was identified from Crassostrea gigas. The mRNA transcript of CgDM9CP-8 was the highest in haemocytes.
