Mapping the myomagnetic field of a straight and easily accessible muscle after electrical stimulation using triaxial optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) to assess potential benefits for magnetomyography (MMG). Approach: Six triaxial OPMs were arranged in two rows with three sensors each along the abductor digiti minimi (ADM) muscle. The upper row of sensors was inclined by 45° with respect to the lower row and all sensors were aligned closely to the skin surface without direct contact.

Background: Smokeless tobacco (SLT) encompasses products that are not burnt but instead consumed orally or nasally. One-third of tobacco is consumed in the smokeless form in South Asia. Despite its widespread usage, there has been limited empirical research on the prevalence and factors influencing SLT consumption in Pakistan.

Flagella are important protein structures on the cell surface of bacteria and the main appendage for bacterial swimming. Flagella play a crucial role in bacterial motility, chemotaxis, pathogenicity, and environmental sensing. With the development of microscopic tracking technology and flagellum visualization tools, new forms of flagellar motility and increasing roles of flagella in the physiological activities of bacteria have been discovered.

Active colloids driven out of thermal equilibrium serve as building blocks for smart materials with tunable structures and functions. Using chemical energy to drive colloids is advantageous but requires precise control over chemical release. To address this, we developed colloidal ionogels-polymer microspheres infused with ionic liquids-that show controlled assembly and self-propulsion upon tunable swelling.

With the rapid development of modern science and technology and the diversification of social needs, traditional single-performance materials struggle to meet the complex and changeable application scenarios. To address the multifaceted requirements of biomedical applications, such as disease diagnosis and treatment, scientists are dedicated to developing new multifunctional biomaterials with multiple activities. BiTiO (BTO), despite its versatility and application potential, has insufficient photocatalytic performance.
