Nurse leaders can spend a significant part of their careers traveling. Self-care and personal mindfulness need not suffer when we are away from home and our normal routine. Personal health plans can be adapted in practical ways to travel with you. So pack your bags with whatever feeds your self-nurturing needs, grab some kale chips and comfortable shoes, and let's get going!

Background: Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have emerged as powerful tools in the biomedical field, particularly for the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases. Despite their complexity and data-intensive nature, simpler fully connected Convolutional Neural Network (SFCN) architectures have shown effectiveness in accurately discerning between subjects affected by Alzheimer's disease (AD) and healthy controls (HC). This model draws inspiration from the work of Peng H et al.

High-performance bulk graphite (HPBG) that simultaneously integrates superior electrical conductivity and excellent strength is in high demand, yet it remains critical and challenging. Herein a novel approach is introduced utilizing MOF-derived nanoporous metal/carbon composites as precursors to circumvent this traditional trade-off. The resulting bulk graphite, composed of densely packed multilayered graphene sheets functionalized with diverse cobalt forms (nanoparticles, single atoms, and clusters), exhibits unprecedented electrical conductivity in all directions (in-plane: 7311 S cm⁻¹, out-of-plane: 5541 S cm⁻¹) and excellent mechanical strength (flexural: 101.

Background: Cognitive impairment with age remains undetected until it interferes daily life activity or presents dementia symptoms. In the US, 61% of dementia population is not diagnosed, which is in part due to limited sensitivity of clinical neuroimaging modalities in assessing early gray matter (GM) changes. Here we look at microstructural changes in GM using mean apparent propagator (MAP-MRI) in cognitively underperforming (CU) and healthy aging (HA) cohorts, grouped according to their cognitive performance based on the NIH Toolbox.

Bio-inspired by tactile function of human skin, piezoionic skin sensors recognize strain and stress through converting mechanical stimulus into electrical signals based on ion transfer. However, ion transfer inside sensors is significantly restricted by the lack of hierarchical structure of electrode materials, and then impedes practical application. Here, a durable nanocomposite electrode is developed based on carbon nanotubes and graphene, and integrated into piezoionic sensors for smart wearable applications, such as facial expression and exercise posture recognitions.
