Background: Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) can be used in a variety of clinical settings and is a safe and powerful tool for ultrasound-trained healthcare providers, such as physicians and nurses; however, the effectiveness of ultrasound education for nursing students remains unclear. This prospective cohort study aimed to examine the sustained educational impact of bladder ultrasound simulation among nursing students.
Methods: To determine whether bladder POCUS simulation exercises sustainably improve the clinical proficiency regarding ultrasound examinations among nursing students, evaluations were conducted before and after the exercise and were compared with those after the 1-month follow-up exercise.

Background And Objectives: Post-embolization syndrome (PES), characterized by pain, fever, nausea, and vomiting, is a common but non-serious adverse event following arterial embolization, negatively impacting patient satisfaction with the procedure. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of dexamethasone-based prophylactic therapy in preventing PES, as well as to assess the effects of its dosage and timing of administration.
Methods: A systematic search was conducted across three databases, two trial registries, and citation searches to identify relevant studies.

To what extent sildenafil, a selective inhibitor of the type-5 phosphodiesterase modulates systemic redox status and cerebrovascular function during acute exposure to hypoxia remains unknown. To address this, 12 healthy males (aged 24 ± 3 y) participated in a randomized, placebo-controlled crossover study involving exposure to both normoxia and acute (60 min) hypoxia (Fi = 0.14), followed by oral administration of 50 mg sildenafil and placebo (double-blinded).
