Osteoporosis and bone fractures are commonly seen in patients with Cushing's syndrome (CS). Fractures usually occur in the vertebrae and ribs whereas pubic fractures are less common. Similar to obvious hypercortisolemia, subclinical hypercortisolemia can increase the risk of fractures. However, in subclinical cases, bone fractures are very rarely seen as the presenting symptom. We herein report the case of a 62-year-old postmenopausal woman who was presented with a pubic fracture. During the evaluation of the fracture, thoracoabdominal magnetic resonance imaging of the patient demonstrated an adrenal mass. Although the patient did not show any signs of overt hypercortisolism, an endocrinologic evaluation revealed hypercortisolism due to an adrenal tumor. Adrenalectomy was performed, which resulted in a cure of the disease. During the orthopedic follow-up, the patient's pubic area pain gradually improved, and the pubic fracture healed without any accompanying new bone fractures. One year after the surgery, a remarkable improvement was detected in the patient's bone density in spite of the lack of administration of any medications for osteoporosis. Subclinical CS can present as a pubic fracture, and awareness of this relationship can help physicians to diagnose the disease.

Endoscopic techniques have been widely used in orthopedic surgery, such as arthroscopy and transforaminal endoscopy, but the application in fracture is rarely reported. We reported a case of a 69-year-old male with pelvic fracture (AO/OTA type B2.1) who underwent successful laparoscopy-assisted pubic ramus plate fixation without auxiliary incision.

Objective: Minimally invasive percutaneous techniques are used to stabilize fractures of the anterior pelvic ring. Stabilization of the fracture facilitates early mobilization and rehabilitation, while percutaneous techniques reduce complications such as infection and bleeding.
Indications: Indicated for patients with non- or minimally displaced fractures of the anterior pelvic ring, or if fracture displacement can be reduced using minimally invasive techniques.

The today well accepted intrapelvic approach for acetabular and pelvic ring injury fixation was first described by Hirvensalo and Lindahl in 1993 followed by a more detailed description by Cole and Bolhofner in 1994. Compared to the well-known ilioinguinal approach, described by Letournel, this approach allows an intrapelvic view to the medial acetabulum, while using the ilioinguinal approach a more superior, extrapelvic view, is dissected to the area of the acetabulum. Several names have been used to describe the new intrapelvic approach with increasing usage, mainly ilio-anterior approach, extended Pfannenstiel approach, Stoppa-approach, Rives-Stoppa approach, modified Stoppa approach and recently anterior intrapelvic approach.

Objective: We present the two-incision minimally invasive (TIMI) approach for the treatment of anterior acetabular fractures.
Indications: Displaced fractures of the anterior column of the acetabulum; complex fractures of the acetabulum in combination with the posterior approach (Kocher-Langenbeck); periprosthetic fractures of the acetabulum with or without additional revision of the cup.
Contraindications: Possibly previous extended surgery in the anatomical region of the approach.

: The aim was to investigate diagnostic, treatment and preventive options to establish an overview of the existing evidence on hemorrhage in pelvic fractures in older adults. : A systematic review was conducted. Due to the rarity of this complication, only case reports and series with individuals older than 55 years with a pelvic ring fracture that is caused by a low-energy trauma or no apparent trauma, along with hemorrhage, were eligible.
