Background: Similar autoimmune processes (defective T-cell function) take place during the pathogenesis of aplastic anemia (AA) and Graves' disease (GD). Antithyroid drugs used for the management of GD may induce AA and GD may occur following treatment of severe aplastic anemia (SAA).
Case Presentation: Clinical and laboratory investigations were performed for an 11-year-and-2-month-old girl who was referred for bilateral exophthalmus and abnormal thyroid function tests.

A seven-year-old male, entire rottweiler was presented to Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital with a 24 hour history of blindness, chemosis, exophthalmus, pain on opening the mouth and hypersialism. Bilateral mandibular and zygomatic salivary gland enlargement with concurrent bilateral zygomatic salivary gland sialocoeles were identified. The cause of the mandibular salivary gland enlargement was confirmed as necrotising sialadenitis, while the cause of the zygomatic gland enlargement was presumed to be because of a similar disease process.

Pneumosinus dilatans (PSD) is a rare condition of unknown aetiology in which there is enlargement of the paranasal sinuses by air, where the affected sinus expands beyond the normal boundaries of bone without thinning of its bony walls. The case of a 28 year old male with PSD, who had gradually increasing exophthalmus and diplopia, is presented and characteristics of this condition are reviewed with literature data.

A chief morbidity of Graves eye disease is eyelid retraction and exophthalmus. Transpalpebral orbital fat removal accomplished with full thickness anterior blepharotomy was performed in 4 patients (5 orbits). Preoperative and postoperative ocular exposure symptoms, visual acuity, upper eyelid retraction and proptosis were evaluated.
