Lithium oxalyldifluoroborate (LiODFB) has been investigated as an organic electrolyte additive to improve the cycling performance of Li-S batteries. Cell test results demonstrate that an appropriate amount of LiODFB added into the electrolyte leads to a high Coulombic efficiency. Analyses by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and the density functional theory showed that LiODFB promotes the formation of a LiF-rich passivation layer on the lithium metal surface, which not only blocks the polysulfide shuttle, but also stabilizes the lithium surface.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Glycolysis serves a crucial role in the development of CRC. The aim of the present study was to investigate the function of lectin galactoside-binding soluble 4 () in the regulation of glycolysis and its therapeutic potential in CRC.

Background: Conventional hip joint MRI scans necessitate lengthy scan durations, posing challenges for patient comfort and clinical efficiency. Previously, accelerated imaging techniques were constrained by a trade-off between noise and resolution. Leveraging deep learning-based reconstruction (DLR) holds the potential to mitigate scan time without compromising image quality.

Tailoring Water-in-DMSO Electrolyte for Ultra-stable Rechargeable Zinc Batteries.

Rechargeable zinc batteries (RZBs) are hindered by two primary challenges: instability of Zn anode and deterioration of the cathode structure in traditional aqueous electrolytes, largely attributable to the decomposition of active H2O. Here, we design and synthesize a non-flammable water-in-dimethyl sulfoxide electrolyte to address these issues. X-ray absorption spectroscopy, in situ techniques and computational simulations demonstrate that the activity of H2O in this electrolyte is extremely compressed, which not only suppresses the side reactions and increases the reversibility of Zn anode, but also diminishes the cathode dissolution and proton intercalation.

High efficiency adsorption of boron by sodium alginate/polyethyleneimine/polysiloxane composite aerogel.

School of Light Industry & Chemical Engineering, Dalian Polytechnic University, Dalian 116034, PR China. Electronic address:

In this work, a new biomass boron adsorbent of N-methyl-D-glucosamine embedded sodium alginate/polyethyleneimine/polysiloxane composite aerogel (SKPN) was reported. Relevant characterization proved that the aerogel exhibited 3D porous structure with plenty of hydroxyl and amino functional groups, which was beneficial to the diffusion of boron and the chelation between boron and SKPN. Various parameters affecting the adsorption performance including pH value, contact time initial concentration, temperature and reusability were investigated.

Achieving rational control over chemical and energetic properties at the perovskite/electron transport layer (ETL) interface is crucial for realizing highly efficient and stable next-generation inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs). To address this, we developed multifunctional ferrocene (Fc)-based interlayers engineered to exhibit adjustable passivating and electrochemical characteristics. These interlayers are designed to minimize non-radiative recombination and, to modulate the work function (WF) and uniformity of the perovskite surface, thereby enhancing device performance.
