An imidazolium (Im) salt with two long alkyl substituents at N atoms is employed to prepare cubelike palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs). The bilayer nature of the capped Im salts is characterized by thermogravimetric analysis and NMR studies. These capped Im salts are labile, as evidenced by their displacement reaction with dimethylaminopyridine, and the observation of fast exchange between those free and capped Im salts on the NMR time scale. NMR results also show that these capped Im salts exhibit different diffusion rates, and interesting spinning rate dependent chemical shifts. These cubelike PdNPs could catalyze the Suzuki coupling of aryl chlorides and boronic acids with high yields in 10 min, even at room temperature.

Dissolved gases such as oxygen (DO) and ammonia (dNH) are among the most consequential parameters for the assessment of water quality. Since the concentrations of DO and dNH are interdependent through the nitrogen cycle, simultaneous monitoring can be useful in many applications. For example, in wastewater treatment, aeration baths are used to adjust the rate of removal of ammonia by the bioactive sludge.

Objectives: This study investigated the impact of some specific experimental calcium phosphate cements doped with different fluoride salts (FDCPCs) concentrations on the basal functions of human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (hDPSCs). Furthermore, this study also examined the migration, as well as the mineralisation through osteogenic differentiation.
Methods: Experimental FDCPCs were formulated using different concentrations of calcium/sodium fluoride salts [(5 wt%: VS5F), (10 wt%: VS10F), (20 wt%: VS20F)].

We report on the synthesis and structural characterization of six novel arylarsonate-containing polyoxomolybdates with fluorinated-functionalities in the position of the phenyl ring. The reaction of the various arylarsonic acids, RAsOH [ = 4-F-CH (H), 4-FC-CH (H), 4-FCO-CH (H)] with NaMoO·2HO in aqueous pH 3 solution resulted in the heteropoly-6-molybdates [{(4-F-CH)As}MoO(HO)] (), [{(4-FC-CH)As}MoO] () and [{(4-FCO-CH)As}MoO(HO)] (), which were isolated as guanidinium salts. When the reaction was performed in aqueous pH 1 solution the inverted-Keggin type heteropoly-12-molydates [{(4-F-CH)As}MoO] (), [{(4-FC-CH)As}MoO] () and [{(4-FCO-CH)As}MoO] (), were obtained and isolated as sodium salts.

ConspectusChemical quantum dots are small semiconductor crystallites (1.5 to 5 nm in diameter). Too small to behave as bulk semiconductors, they have band gaps and luminescence colors that vary with size in a controllable and predictable manner.

Plant-mediated synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) is an eco-friendly and convenient alternative to conventional methods. leaf extract (BHE) was used in this study to reduce metal salts and cap and stabilize nanoparticles (NPs), which were characterized and tested for antibacterial and anti-corrosion properties. Stirring the extract with AgNO led to a color change, indicating nanoparticle formation.
