There are several conditions that results in excessive gingival display. In case of class I vertical maxillary excess the reason for this excessive display is the hypermobile lip. Though orthodontic treatment is the choice of treatment, surgical repositioning along with the orthodontics gives more predictable and stable results. This case report discusses cosmetic surgical management of case with class I vertical maxillary excess with excessive gingival display. The technique involves removal of strip of mucosal tissue from the labial vestibule thereby limiting the retraction of elevator muscles.

Drug-induced gingival enlargement often occurs due to patient's lack of awareness about the side effects of prescribed medications. This case report details an unusual instance of massive drug-induced gingival overgrowth in a 50-year-old female, successfully managed through a multidisciplinary approach, including surgical intervention and prosthetic rehabilitation. The surgical treatment involved multiple extractions and the excision of excessive tissue.

Statement Of Problem: Narrow diameter implants have been considered effective for implant placement in anterior region of maxilla and mandible. However, in regions with heavy masticatory loads, narrow implants may be excessively stressed.
Purpose: The purpose of this finite element analysis study was to evaluate the stress generated by narrow implants placed level with and below the bone margin in the posterior mandible and the biomechanical effects of different solid abutment diameters.

Methods: Data from Q1 2011 to Q4 2023 were extracted from the FAERS database for solid tumor patients treated with AGIs, ICIs, or their combination. A disproportionality analysis was conducted by calculating the reporting odds ratio (ROR) and corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI), as well as the Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), to identify potential safety signals.

The oral mucosa can suffer a series of traumatic injuries from various causes (bacterial plaque, tartar, fillings, incorrectly adapted prosthesis). A risk factor generating periodontal diseases is represented by fixed orthodontic therapy, if the forces exerted on it are excessive.
