Objective: To screen the matrix and permeation enhancer of Duliang Patches.
Methods: Based on L9 (3(4)) orthogonal experimental design, the content of imperatorin of the release rate and transdermal osmolality were regarded as evaluation indexes to optimize the matrix and permeation enhancer of patches suing of Drug dissolution tester and Franz diffusion cell.
Results: The best prescriplion of sustained-release patch of Duliang was: the quality percentage content of the starch, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, glycerin, azone, propylene glycol and PEG400 was 6%, 2%, 30%, 1%, 15% and 2.5% respectively. The release behavior of sustained-release patches of Duliang tallied with Higuchi equation and the effect of sustained-release was apparent.
Conclusion: The sustained-release patches of Duliang have good property of sustained-release and transdermal in vitro and the stability of patches is also sound while the release in vivo awaits further inspection.

Cellulose acetate butyrate is a biodegradable cellulose ester bioplastic produced from plentiful natural plant-based resources. Solvent-exchange-induced in situ gels are particularly promising for periodontitis therapy, as this dosage form allows for the direct delivery of high concentrations of antimicrobial agents to the localized periodontal pocket. This study developed an in situ gel for periodontitis treatment, incorporating a combination of metronidazole and doxycycline hyclate, with cellulose acetate butyrate serving as the matrix-forming agent.

The synthesis of differently substituted polyferrocenylmethylenes (PFM) via ring-opening transmetalation polymerization (ROTP) is reported. A number of novel, symmetrically and asymmetrically substituted carba[1]magnesocenophanes have been prepared, which were used as precursors and allowed investigations of the influence of different substitution patterns on the PFM polymer properties. The novel carba[1]magnesocenophanes have been fully characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, and structurally authenticated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD).
