In this study a simple protocol was developed for purifying phycocyanin (PC) from (CCC540) by using ammonium sulphate precipitation, followed by a single step chromatography by using DEAE-Cellulose-11 and acetate buffer. Precipitation with 65 % ammonium sulphate resulted in 80 % recovery of phycocyanin with purity of 1.5 (A/A). Thro1ugh chromatography an 80 % recovery of phycocyanin with a purity of 4.5 (A/A) was achieved. In SDS_PAGE analysis, the purified PC showed the presence of two subunit α (16 kD) and β (17 kD).

Background: Application of antibodies in therapeutics and diagnostics are growing Continually. Herein, we aimed to find the most qualified immunoglobulin (Ig) chemical preparation method.
Methods: A rabbit was immunized against recombinant SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid (NP) and reactive polyclonal antibodies were prepared using the ammonium sulfate (AS), caprylic acid (CA), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and caprylic acid/ammonium sulfate (CA/AS) methods.

Background: In the fermentation industry, the demand to replace expensive complex media components is increasing for alternative nutrient sources derived from waste or side streams, such as corn steep liquor (CSL). However, the use of CSL is associated with common problems of side products, such as batch-to-batch variations and compositional inconsistencies. In this study, to detect batch-to-batch variations in CSL for Ogataea polymorpha cultivations, a "fingerprinting" system was developed by employing the Respiration Activity Monitoring System designed for shake flasks (RAMOS) and 96-well microtiter plates (µTOM).

E6011 is a monoclonal antibody that is currently under development for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. While ligand binding assays (LBAs) are typically employed for the determination of therapeutic antibodies, ultra-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) represents an alternative platform. E6011 in monkey serum was treated with ammonium sulfate to obtain pellets for subsequent processing.

Vanadium precipitation is the key step in producing vanadium products from vanadium solution. The sustainable development of the vanadium industry requires new environmentally friendly processes for vanadium precipitation. In this study, NaVO solution was pretreated with manganese salt to preliminarily separate the vanadium and sodium components.
