Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of weekly adalimumab (ADA) treatment in non-infectious uveitis (NIU) patients, including both pediatric and adult populations, and identify factors influencing treatment efficacy.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study at two hospitals in Türkiye included 51 NIU patients (29 children, 22 adults) who escalated from bi-weekly to weekly ADA due to inadequate disease control. Data on six clinical parameters (anterior chamber reaction, vitreous haze, visual acuity, central macular thickness [CMT], prednisone use, uveitis flare-up frequency), adverse effects, and treatment-related factors were collected.

From the perspective of sustainable development and practical applications, there is a significant demand for the design of advanced cellulose-based film materials with superior mechanical, optical, and functional properties utilizing environmentally friendly strategies. Herein, biodegradable, mechanically robust and flame-retardant cellulose films with adjustable optical performance were successfully fabricated by in situ synthesis of NH-UiO(Zr)-66 via a DMF-free green process at room temperature. The results indicate that the introduction of NH-UiO(Zr)-66 enables films to realize a desirable flame retardancy (the limiting oxygen index (LOI) increased significantly from 19.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) are powerful biosourced nanomaterials for the construction of chiral photonic films. While various techniques have been used to enrich the optical properties of such systems, surface roughness engineering has yet to be exploited to significantly modify their optical properties. In this work, by using vacuum filtration-assisted self-assembly, CNCs are densely packed into films with high optical transparency.
