Background: Infliximab (IFX) is the key treatment for ulcerative colitis (UC) unresponsive to standard treatments. The aim of the present study was to assess the efficacy and safety of IFX in treating ambulatory UC patients in primary gastroenterology centers.
Methods: One hundred and eighteen patients (65 M, 63 F, median age 34 years, range 19-71 years), affected by UC, were treated with IFX. Clinical efficacy, safety, mucosal healing (MH), and histological healing (HH) were assessed at a scheduled follow-up of 42 months.
Results: Percentage of patients with clinical remission persistence at 42-month follow-up was 70.4%. Colectomy occurred in only 3 patients (2.7%). At 42-month follow-up percentage of patients with MH was 44.6%, and percentage of patients with HH was 24.3%. HH at 6-month follow-up occurred in 13 out of 34 patients (38.2%) with C-reactive protein (CRP) <3 and in 8 out of 76 patients (10.5%) with CRP ≥ 3 (p=0.002). Side effects were reported in 16 patients (13.6%): infusion reactions occurred in 7 patients, other severe side-effects occurred in 3 patients, and opportunistic infections occurred in 3 patients (2.5%). Finally, 3 cancers (2.5%) occurred during the follow-up period (1 breast, 1 kidney and 1 rectal cancer). Both univariate and multivariate analyses showed Hb <11.5 g/dL and HH at 6-month follow-up to be significantly associated with treatment failure during follow-up.
Conclusions: IFX seems to be effective and safe in long-term treatment of outpatients affected by UC.

Purpose: Orvacabtagene autoleucel (orva-cel; JCARH125), a CAR T-cell therapy targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), was evaluated in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) patients in the EVOLVE phase 1/2 study (NCT03430011). We applied a modified piecewise model to characterize orva-cel transgene kinetics and assessed the impact of various covariates on its pharmacokinetics (PK).
Experimental Design: The population PK analysis included 159 patients from the EVOLVE study.

Background: The efficacy and safety of dupilumab in patients with refractory prurigo nodularis (PN) is well established in clinical trials, but there is a lack of multicenter data regarding its effectiveness and safety in real-world settings.
Methods: Patients with moderate-to-severe PN who initiated dupilumab treatment between July 2023 and January 2024, with a follow-up period of at least 16 weeks at 10 hospitals in China were included. We used peak pruritus numeric rating scale (PP-NRS), investigator global assessment (IGA) for PN, and dermatology life quality index for adults or children (DLQI/CDLQI) to assess disease control status and quality of life impairment, and monitored adverse events to assess the safety.

Objectives: Migraine is a common cause of headache and a leading cause of morbidity in Türkiye. This study aimed to describe the clinical characteristics and management of migraine and to compare migraine with tension-type headache (TTH) regarding the burden of disease and healthcare resource utilization.
Methods: A total of 1368 patients (aged 18-65 years) with migraine or TTH were surveyed regarding sociodemographics, headache characteristics, clinical management, disease burden, quality of life, and healthcare resource utilization within the previous 12 months.

Aim: Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) rarely affects pediatric patients and is characterized by prolonged fever and cervical lymphadenopathy. The diagnosis of KFD remains challenging and often requires an invasive biopsy. Low serum alkaline phosphatase levels have frequently been observed in patients with KFD; however, the clinical significance of low serum alkaline phosphatase levels remains unclear.

Introduction: Cellular characteristics of induced sputum (IS) are not investigated in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients.
Objectives: This pilot study, conducted on 17 expectorating CF adolescents, compared sputa obtained the same day, in a stable period, by autogenic drainage (expectorating sputum, ES) and 4 h later after inhaling hypertonic saline (IS).
Results: No difference was noted concerning weight, volume, and percentage of dead cells between the two collection methods.
