Failure of eruption of the mandibular permanent canine is an unusual event. This case report presents combined surgical and orthodontic management of an impacted permanent mandibular canine of a 10-year-old boy. Treatment considerations for impacted mandibular canines differ in comparison with other teeth. The paper also highlights on various treatment options, timing and biomechanical considerations while dealing with these teeth.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the styloid process (TBSP) phenotype and to identify suggestive images of calcified atheromatous plaques (CAP) in panoramic radiographs of patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) and post-surgical hypoparathyroidism (hypoPT). Additionally, it aimed to analyze the association between the bone mineral status of patients with parathyroid diseases and the radiographic findings.
Material And Methods: A cross-sectional case-control study was conducted with individuals diagnosed with PHPT (n = 25) and post-surgical hypoPT (n = 25).

Background: Minimally invasive dentistry is now becoming the forefront of restorative dentistry, involving less traumatic treatment protocols, conservation of tooth structure and surrounding tissues, enhancing the long-term survivability of treated teeth, and improving the overall quality of life for patients.
Objective: The current case report was conducted to evaluate acquiring deep subgingival interproximal carious lesions by the mean of thermacut bur gingivectomy, in terms of patient satisfaction through pain evaluation, Bleeding on Probing, Pocket Depth, Crestal Bone Level evaluation, and restoration evaluation using modified USPHS criteria.
Material And Methods: A patient with a deep proximal cavity in the posterior tooth was thoroughly examined and underwent Thermacut Bur Gingivectomy (TBG) after caries removal followed by direct resin composite restoration of the prepared cavity.

Objectives: The presented study aimed to evaluate the effect of mandibular protrusion with a temporarily applied mandibular advancement device (MAD) on the posterior airway space and to determine a reliable metric constant based on a three-dimensional computed tomography (CT) evaluation.
Materials And Methods: The study population consisted of patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma who were treated at least six months prior to the follow-up CT in supine position. Each patient received an individually adjusted MAD that was temporarily applied with three different protrusion distances (P = 0 mm, P = 4 mm, and P = 8 mm) during follow-up CT.

Vertical maxillary excess (VME) is a facial condition characterized by an increased height in the lower third of the face, leading to a longer overall facial appearance. This condition is linked to a significant proportion of malocclusions and is often associated with greater dissatisfaction among patients concerning their appearance. The amalgamation of orthodontics with surgery is a desirable protocol to address VME.

Diagnosed as bimaxillary protrusion, extraction followed by anterior retraction was indispensable for the case. However, her left upper lateral incisor was absent, the left upper canine had moved mesially and replaced the adjacent incisor, and the original canine location was restored with a long implant, which was in good condition.
