Background: Serology for dengue viruses (DENV) and Zika virus (ZIKV) has been hindered by antibody cross-reactivity, which limits the utility of these tests for surveillance and assessment of sero-status. Our aim was to develop a multiplexed IgG-based assay with increased accuracy to assess the history of previous DENV and ZIKV infections.
Methods: We developed and assessed the analytical performance of a sample-sparing, multiplexed, microsphere-based serological assay using domain III of the envelope protein (EDIII) of DENV serotypes 1-4 and ZIKV, the most variable region between each virus.

Background: Recent advancements in combination therapy for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) have shown promise, but reliable serological prognostic indicators are currently lacking for patients undergoing triple combination therapy of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. We aimed to investigate the prognostic significance of early alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and des-gamma-carboxy prothrombin (DCP) responses in these patients.
Methods: This retrospective research included 115 uHCC patients treated with SBRT in combination with immunotherapy and targeted therapy (triple therapy) at our institution from April 2021 to December 2022.

The three members of the genus capripoxvirus (CaPV), lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV), sheeppox virus (SPPV), and goatpox virus (GTPV) have common hosts and areas of overlapping geographical distribution with Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV). Hence, to ensure more cost-effective disease surveillance we developed and evaluated a Luminex assay for the simultaneous detection of antibodies against CaPV and RVFV in domestic ruminants.
