Magnetically tunable micropillar arrays with uniform, continuous and extreme tilt angles for real-time manipulation are reported. We experimentally show uniform tilt angles ranging from 0° to 57°, and develop a model to accurately capture the behavior. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the flexible uniform responsive microstructures (μFUR) can dynamically manipulate liquid spreading directionality, control fluid drag, and tune optical transmittance over a large range.

This paper deals with a "digital twin" (DT) approach for processing, reprocessing, and scrapping (P/R/S) technology running on a modular production system (MPS) assisted by a mobile cyber-physical robotic system (MCPRS). The main hardware architecture consists of four line-shaped workstations (WSs), a wheeled mobile robot (WMR) equipped with a robotic manipulator (RM) and a mobile visual servoing system (MVSS) mounted on the end effector. The system architecture integrates a hierarchical control system where each of the four WSs, in the MPS, is controlled by a Programable Logic Controller (PLC), all connected via Profibus DP to a central PLC.

This study evaluates the feasibility of Apple Vision Pro goggles as an augmented reality (AR) surgical navigation tool for laparoscopic-assisted ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of liver tumors. Traditional RFA is effective but challenging due to the integration of multiple imaging modalities. The primary aim of this research is to assess how Vision Pro goggles can enhance the surgical navigation process during RFA, improving tumor localization and the overall effectiveness of the procedure.

We present a versatile method for synthesizing high-quality molybdenum disulfide (MoS) crystals on graphite foil edges via chemical vapor deposition (CVD). This results in MoS/graphene heterostructures with precise epitaxial layers and no rotational misalignment, eliminating the need for transfer processes and reducing contamination. Utilizing in situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) equipped with a nano-manipulator and tungsten probe, we mechanically induce the folding, wrinkling, and tearing of freestanding MoS crystals, enabling the real-time observation of structural changes at high temporal and spatial resolutions.

Spheroids, as three-dimensional (3D) cell aggregates, can be prepared using various methods, including hanging drops, microwells, microfluidics, magnetic manipulation, and bioreactors. However, current spheroid manufacturing techniques face challenges such as complex workflows, the need for specialized personnel, and poor batch reproducibility. In this study, we designed a support-free, 3D-printed microwell chip and developed a compatible low-cell-adhesion process.

Background: Advancing evidence-based, tailored interventions for substance use disorders (SUDs) requires understanding temporal directionality while upholding ecological validity. Previous studies identified loneliness and craving as pivotal factors associated with alcohol consumption, yet the precise directionality of these relationships remains ambiguous.
Objective: This study aims to establish a smartphone-based real-life intervention platform that integrates momentary assessment and intervention into everyday life.
