Ultraviolet (UV) exposure causes direct and indirect damages to skin structures. Human adipose stem cell-conditioned medium (hASC-CM) is a collection of several soluble factors, such as cytokines, chemokines, and Growth Factors (GF), secreted by almost all living cells in the extracellular space which support wound healing and skin rejuvenation. To determine the effects of human adipose stem cell-conditioned medium (hASC-CM) in photoaged skin and evaluate photoaging improvement after treatment.

Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has been utilized in various medical devices using its oxidative nature. Recent studies have provided evidence that CAP can facilitate the delivery of large, hydrophilic molecules through the epidermis to the dermis. On the other hand, a new approach called low-intensity CAP (LICAP) has been developed, allowing the plasma level to be controlled within a subtoxic range, thereby demonstrating various biological benefits without tissue damage.

Treating sunburn and other UV-induced skin damage issues remains a significant challenge in the field of dermatology. In this study, we synthesized a highly bioactive recombinant type III collagen (rCol III) to accelerate the healing of UV-damaged skin. The high-purity rCol III demonstrated excellent biocompatibility and bioactivity, significantly promoting the adhesion, proliferation, and migration of HFF-1 cells.

Objectives: Bioengineered artificial skin substitutes (BASS) are an advanced therapy for treating extensively burned patients. Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) infections represent a major challenge in these patients as formation of biofilms impede wound healing and perpetuate a chronic inflammatory state.
