Pseudomesotheliomatous carcinoma of the lung is very rare, and reversible restrictive lung disease with pseudomesotheliomatous carcinoma has not yet been previously reported. We herein report a patient with HER2-positive non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) showing pseudomesotheliomatous carcinoma who was successfully treated with bevacizumab combination chemotherapy. A 56-year-old Japanese woman with advanced NSCLC presented with dyspnea.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinicopathological features of lung cancer resembling malignant pleural mesothelioma.
Methodology: The seven patients studied had tumours showing an extensive pleural growth pattern, and were chosen from 1516 lung cancer patients diagnosed at two affiliated hospitals over a 17-year period.
Results: Histologically, five of these lung cancers were adenocarcinomas, one was a small cell carcinoma, and one a large cell carcinoma.

Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a tissue-specific transcription factor expressed in the thyroid and lung. The clinical utility and limitation of TTF-1 in primary or metastatic carcinomas of the lung have not been previously studied in detail. We examined TTF-1 expression in 510 primary lung and 107 metastatic neoplasms.
