Based on the study of 60 women who were treated at the gynecology department of the Novosibirsk Regional Oncology Dispensary from 2003 to 2013 with a diagnosis of primary multiple synchronous and metachronous neoplasia with endometrial lesion it was found that the most common risk factors for this disease could be considered: overweight and obesity; late age at onset of menarche; late age of menopause; concomitant cardiovascular diseases and disorders of the endocrine metabolism.

Background: The vicious cycle between depression and dementia increases the risk of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) pathogenesis and pathology. This study investigates therapeutic effectiveness versus side effects and the underlying mechanisms of intranasal dantrolene nanoparticles (IDNs) to treat depression behavior and memory loss in 5XFAD mice.
Method: 5XFAD and wild-type B6SJLF1/J mice were treated with IDNs (IDN, 5 mg/kg) in Ryanodex formulation for a duration of 12 weeks.

Background: Education is a recognized modifiable dementia risk factor. To boost cognitive reserve and reduce dementia risk in Brazil's vulnerable populations, we conceived a literacy program (PROAME trial) targeting low-educated adults, aiming to explore how executive function and individual differences influence program effectiveness.
Method: We screened 130 adults, with 108 meeting enrollment criteria.

Background: The cognitive reserve (CR) theory seeks to explain the mismatch often reported between brain damage and its clinical expression. Unlike most previous studies that focused on individuals with memory deterioration before the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the present study examined the late stages of the disease. The study sought to confirm the hypothesis that patients with higher CR are diagnosed later and decline faster than those with lower CR because their brain pathology is more severe.

Background: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) and hypertension are the two most common risk factors of intracranial hemorrhage leading to cognitive impairment, but less is known about how the two relate. A better understanding of the association between these risk factors is a key step towards developing new strategies to manage hypertension and attenuate CAA progression.
Method: This study analyzed data from 2,510 participants in the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) dataset who had CAA and longitudinal blood pressure (BP) measurements before death.

Background: Personality traits are long-standing characteristics of behavior and emotion. Personality might influence cognitive health in later life by affecting responses to stressful events and engagement in cognitively stimulating activities, such as interpersonal interaction. The current study examined associations between personality traits and cognition in late life, and potential mediation by positive and negative emotion, depression, and social connectedness.
