Objective: Both the Masquelet technique (MT) and concentrated growth factors (CGF) reduce early graft loss and improve bone regeneration. This study aims to explore the efficacy of combining MT with CGF for mandibular defect repair by characterizing the induced membrane and assessing in vivo osteogenesis.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate whether vitamin K (menatetrenone) suppresses bone mineral density (BMD) loss in the irradiated region after radiotherapy (RT) in uterine cancer patients.
Materials And Methods: Our study included 34 patients who underwent whole pelvic irradiation for uterine cancer between 2001 and 2010. The patients were categorized in two groups: (1) Vitamin K (45 mg/day) administration group (group A) with 18 cases and (2) non-administered group (group B) with 16 cases.

Unlike individual-level risk and protective factors related to the etiology of diabetes, contextual risk factors have been much less studied. Identification of contextual factors related to the risk of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries may help health professionals, researchers, and policymakers to improve surveillance, develop policies and programs, and allocate funding.
