AdoP assay detection of mycoplasmal contamination in biological media.

Res Virol

Laboratoire des Mycoplasmes, Unité d'Oncologie Virale, Institut Pasteur, Paris.

Published: August 1989

The AdoP assay has been shown to be reliable in controlling the absence of mycoplasmas in filtered sera. We therefore compared its effectiveness with that of other tests in the detection of animal cell contamination by mycoplasmas.

National COVID-19 vaccination plan: using artificial spatial intelligence to overcome challenges in Brazil.

Cien Saude Colet

May 2021

Duke Global Health Institute, Duke University, Global Emergency Medicine Innovation and Implementation Research. 310, Trent Drive, Durham North Carolina USA.

This article explores the use of spatial artificial intelligence to estimate the resources needed to implement Brazil's COVID-19 immu nization campaign. Using secondary data, we conducted a cross-sectional ecological study adop ting a time-series design. The unit of analysis was Brazil's primary care centers (PCCs).

Robust and centimeter-level Real-time Kinematic (RTK)-based Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning is of paramount importance for emerging GNSS applications, such as drones and automobile systems. However, the performance of conventional single-rover RTK degrades greatly in urban environments due to signal blockage and strong multipath. The increasing use of multiple-antenna/rover configurations for attitude determination in the above precise positioning applications, just as well, allows more information involved to improve RTK positioning performance in urban areas.

Cluster oligonucleotide signatures for rapid identification by sequencing.

BMC Bioinformatics

October 2018

Sidney Laboratory Project - Science, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Floor 2E, Room 233, 59 Camelot Drive, Ottawa, ON, K1A 0Y9, Canada.

Background: Oligonucleotide signatures (signatures) have been widely used for studying microbial diversity and function in wet-lab settings, but using them for accurate in silico identification of organisms from high-throughput sequencing (HTS) data is only a proof of concept. Existing signature design programs for sequence signatures (signatures matching exactly one sequence) or clade signatures (signatures matching every sequence in a phylogenetic clade) are not able to identify all possible polymorphic sites for sequences with high similarity and perform poorly when handling large genome sequencing datasets.

Results: We introduce cluster signatures: subsequences that match perfectly and exclusively any group of sequences in a data set.

Single-Frequency Single-Epoch (SFSE) high-precision positioning has always been the hot spot of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and ambiguity dilution of precision (ADOP) is a well-known scalar measure for success rate of ambiguity resolution. Traditional ADOP expression is complicated, thus the SFSE extended ADOP (E-ADOP), with the newly defined Summation-Multiplication Ratio of Weight (SMRW) and two theorems for short baseline, was developed. This simplifies the ADOP expression; gives a clearer insight into the influences of SMRW and number of satellites on E-ADOP; and makes theoretical analysis of E-ADOP more convenient than that of ADOP, and through that the E-ADOP value can be predicted more accurately than through the ADOP expression for ADOP value.
