The incidence of bone tumors is low therefore it is highly recommended to treat patients in specialized centers. In the late 70ies a bone tumor registry was initiated at the Department of Orthopedics of the Semmelweis University followed by the development of a specialized diagnostic unit and a bone cancer center. Several novel surgical procedures have been introduced, including the extremity-sparing surgery, leading to a significant improvement of the patients survival. This is fully supported by a specialized bone cancer oncoteam of experts. The 6000-sized registry and biobank now allows the development of translational research in this orphan tumor type.

Purpose: This project aimed to minimize medication errors and improve safe medication administration in an oncology setting in Muscat, Oman.
Methods: The study, spanning from the second quarter of 2022 to the first quarter of 2023, employed a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design, assessing key performance indicators (medication error and medication administration errors rates per 1000 patient days) on quarterly basis before and after implementing targeted interventions. Interventions focused on medication management processes and Healthcare Informatics System (HIS), Environment and equipment, and Education The project utilized the FOCUS PDCA (find, organize, clarify, understand, select, plan, do, check and act) methodology.

Background: Various prediction models have been developed for extremity metastasis and sarcoma. This systematic review aims to evaluate extremity metastasis and sarcoma models using the utility prediction model (UPM) evaluation framework.
Methods: We followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines and systematically searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane to identify articles presenting original prediction models with 1-year survival outcome for extremity metastasis and 5-year survival outcome for sarcoma.

Introduction: Health-related quality of life (HR-QoL) outcomes following maxillary reconstruction with the scapular osseous free flap (SOFF) are lacking. Material and Methods: To determine these outcomes, a study of patients who completed maxillary reconstruction with flap survival of the SOFF between 2016 and 2023 was conducted, using Face-Q Head and Neck Cancer Module (FACE-Q).
Results: Eligible patients had at least six months of follow-up.
