Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is an intensive therapy to cure high-risk haematological malignant disorders, congenital diseases, autoimmune disease and so on. The main complication of HSCT is graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), which can cause the death of recipients and affect the therapeutic effect. Many kinds of immune cells and inflammatory factors were involved in the occurrence of GVHD. Twenty years ago the mice and human interleukin-17 (IL-17) were found. A new kind of T cell-CD4(+) IL-17(+) T was found in recent years, named Th17 cells. Now IL-17 and Th17 cells have become the hot spot in the research field of infection immunity, autoimmune diseases, tumor immunity and GVHD. In this article, immunoregulatory effects of interleukin-17 and Th17 cells in GVHD are reviewed.

Background: Acupoint catgut embedding (ACE) is a traditional Chinese medicine technique commonly used for managing various disorders, including chronic inflammatory pain and allergic asthma. Despite its growing use, the neuroimmunological mechanisms underlying ACE treatment effects remain unclear.
Methods: This study investigated the roles and potential mechanisms of the effects of ACE in treating experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a frequently used animal model of autoimmune neuroinflammation.

The aim of this study was to determine serum I-309 levels in primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) patients, as well as the association with disease phenotype, systemic activity, and T helper cell-related cytokines. A total of 58 pSS patients and 30 healthy controls (HC) were enrolled in this study. The concentrations of serum I-309, interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-6, IL-9, IL-13, IL-17, IL-22, IL-23, tumor-necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interferon-γ (IFN-γ), IFN-α, and IFN-β were measured with multiplex immunoassay.

Dysregulated differentiation of naïve CD4+ T cells into T helper 17 (Th17) cells is likely a key factor predisposing to many autoimmune diseases. Therefore, better understanding how Th17 differentiation is regulated is essential to identify novel therapeutic targets and strategies to identify individuals at high risk of developing autoimmunity. Here, we extend our prior work using chemical inhibitors to provide mechanistic insight into a novel regulator of Th17 differentiation, the kinase dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (DYRK1A).

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive and fatal disease, characterized by impaired wound repair, tissue remodeling and fibrosis. Immune system may participate in the development and progression of the disease as indicated by altered activity in IPF sufferers. This study investigates the immune response to the BNT162b2 COVID-19 vaccine in patients with IPF compared to healthy controls, with a particular focus on evaluation of antibody responses, interferon-gamma release, cytokine profiling and a broad panel of immune cell subpopulations.

Background: Huanglian-ejiao decoction (HED) is a Chinese traditional medicinal formula evolved from the Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Febrile Diseases). However, HED ultimate mechanism of action remained indistinct. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether HED could exert anti-inflammatory effects on 2,4,6-Trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis (UC) model through the regulation of CD4T subsets and gut microbiota.
