Introduction: It is impossible to imagine a modern socially-active man who does not use mobile devices and/or computers with Wi-Fi function. The effect of mobile phone radiation on male fertility is the subject of recent interest and investigations. The aim of this study was to investigate the direct in vitro influence of mobile phone radiation on sperm DNA fragmentation and motility parameters in healthy subjects with normozoospermia.

Material And Methods: 32 healthy men with normal semen parameters were selected for the study. Each sperm sample was divided into two equal portions (A and B). Portions A of all involved men were placed for 5 hours in a thermostat, and portions B were placed into a second thermostat for the same period of time, where a mobile phone in standby/talk mode was placed. After 5 hours of incubation the sperm samples from both thermostats were re-evaluated regarding basic motility parameters. The presence of DNA fragmentation in both A and B portions of each sample was determined each hour using a standard sperm chromatin dispersion test.

Results: The number of spermatozoa with progressive movement in the group, influenced by electromagnetic radiation, is statistically lower than the number of spermatozoa with progressive movement in the group under no effect of the mobile phone. The number of non-progressive movement spermatozoa was significantly higher in the group, which was influenced by cell phone radiation. The DNA fragmentation was also significantly higher in this group.

Conclusions: A correlation exists between mobile phone radiation exposure, DNA-fragmentation level and decreased sperm motility.

Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a major health problem of atherosclerotic cardiovascular (CV) disease and early intervention is regarded important. Given the proven effect of a lifestyle intervention with nursing telephone counselling and mHealth use in health care, yet the comparisons of both support are lacking, this study is proposed.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the effects of a coronary artery disease (CAD) support program using a mobile application versus nurse phone advice on exercise amount and physical and psychological outcomes for clients at risk of CAD.

Background: Early diagnosis of systemic light-chain amyloidosis (AL) is needed because 25% of patients die within months of diagnosis. In patients with monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) or smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) of the λ isotype, we explored the use of 2 screening variables: a free light chain difference of 23mg/L between λ and k and presence of IGLV genes that occur more frequently in AL.

Methods: Patients contacted us and we sent HIPAA release and consent forms for discussion by phone.

Background: With the widespread adoption of smartphones, mobile phone addiction has increasingly gained prominence among Chinese college students, exerting a profound and detrimental impact on their learning engagement. This study employs self-determination theory as a framework to examine the mechanisms through which mobile phone addiction affects students' learning engagement. Specifically, it examines the mediating effects of physical activity and academic self-efficacy in this relationship.

Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) involves the administration of medication and in-person monitoring by a healthcare team alongside the patient to improve adherence to tuberculosis (TB) treatment. Implementing DOT requires healthcare professionals, transportation, time dedication, and presence at the patient's residence. Meeting all these conditions is not always possible to address the high demand of TB patients who would benefit from this supervision.
