Unlabelled: Subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) is a rare yet consequential medical emergency that may mimic an acute myocardial infarction (MI). SAH causes enhanced sympathetic activity, culminating in the development of neurogenic stunned myocardium (NSM), which presents as ST-segment deviations, prolonged QT intervals, T-wave inversions or Q-waves. Reperfusion therapy is contraindicated for SAH because of an increased risk of bleeding and death.

Pharyngeal electrical stimulation (PES), a novel noninvasive peripheral nerve stimulation technique, can effectively improve neurogenic dysphagia and increase the safety and effectiveness of swallowing in the clinic. However, the lack of animal models for dysphagia has limited the mechanistic research on PES, which affects its wide application. Therefore, determining optimal parameters for PES in rats is needed to enable mechanistic studies.

Background: To investigate the peripheral nervous system involvement in sialidosis with typical features of myoclonus, seizure, and giant waves in somatosensory evoked potentials suggesting hyperexcitability in the central nervous system.
Methods: The clinical presentation of patients with genetically confirmed sialidosis was recorded. Neurophysiological studies, including nerve conduction studies (NCSs), F-wave studies, and needle electromyography (EMG), were performed on these patients.

Purpose: Orthostasis increases the variability of continuously recorded blood pressure (BP). Low-frequency (LF) BP oscillations (Mayer waves) in this setting are related to the vascular-sympathetic baroreflex. Mechanisms of increased high-frequency (HF) BP oscillations at the periodicity of respiration during orthostasis have received less research attention.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to evaluate muscles with more prominent needle electromyographic findings to optimize needle electromyography screening of isolated C6 radiculopathy in patients with C6 root lesions.
Design: This prospective clinical study was performed on 39 patients with isolated and unilateral cervical radiculopathy selected from all referrals of 1733 patients to the electrodiagnosis unit of the physical medicine and rehabilitation department of a tertiary medical center (from April 2021 to December 2021). The presence of fibrillation potentials, positive sharp waves, and/or neurogenic motor action potentials that occurred in isolation or combination with selected muscles was considered an abnormal finding.
