Published: June 2014

In the mononuclear title complex, [CuI(CH3CN)(C18H15P)2], the Cu(I) ion is in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry, coordinated by two P atoms of two tri-phenyl-phosphane ligands, one N atom of an aceto-nitrile ligand and one iodide anion. The aceto-nitrile ligand is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.629 (15): 0.371 (15) ratio. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯I hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a chain along [100].

The reaction of Zn(ClO)·6HO with NaSbS·9HO in a water/aceto-nitrile mixture leads to the formation of the title compound, (μ-tetra-thio-anti-monato-κ :')bis-[(1,4,8,11-tetra-aza-cyclo-tetra-decane-κ )zinc(II)] perchlorate 0.8-hydrate, [Zn(SbS)(CHN)]ClO·0.8HO or [(Zn-cyclam)(SbS)][ClO]·0.

The title cobalt(II) complex, [Co(CHN)(CHN)](CHB) or [(tacn)Co(NCMe)][BPh], has been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It incorporates the well-known macrocyclic tacn (1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-tri-aza-cyclo-nona-ne) ligand, which is coordinated facially to the metal center. The complex crystallizes in space group 2/ with = 4.

The title compound, [Ru(CHN)](PF)·3CHO, was obtained from the reaction of Ru(bimpy)Cl [bimpy is 2,6-bis-(1-benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine] and bimpy in refluxing ethanol followed by recrystallization from diethyl ether/aceto-nitrile. At 125 K the complex has ortho-rhom-bic (2) symmetry. It is remarkable that the structure is almost centrosymmetric.

Structural characterization of a new samarium-sodium heterometallic coordination polymer.

Acta Crystallogr E Crystallogr Commun

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, WA, 99354, USA.

Lanthanide-containing materials are of inter-est in the field of crystal engin-eering because of their unique properties and distinct structure types. In this context, a new samarium-sodium heterometallic coordination polymer, poly[tetra-kis-(μ-2-formyl-6-meth-oxy-phenolato)samarium(III)sodium(I)], {[SmNa(CHO)]·solvent} (), was synthesized and crystallized slow evaporation from a mixture of ethanol and aceto-nitrile. The compound features alternating Sm and Na ions, which are linked by -vanillin (-vanillin) ligands to form a mono-periodic chain-like coordination polymer.

The neutral organosilicon(IV) complex, (CF)Si(OPO) (OPO = 1-oxopyridin-2-one, CHNO), was synthesized from (CF)Si(OCH) and 2 equiv. of 1-hy-droxy-pyridin-2-one in tetra-hydro-furan (THF). Single crystals grown from the diffusion of -pentane into a THF solution were identified as a THF hemisolvate and an -pentane hemisolvate, (CF)Si(OPO)·0.
