In this era of globalization and rapid advances in radiation oncology worldwide, the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is committed to help decrease profound regional disparities through the work of the International Education Subcommittee (IES). The IES has expanded its base, reach, and activities to foster educational advances through a variety of educational methods with broad scope, in addition to committing to the advancement of radiation oncology care for cancer patients around the world, through close collaboration with our sister radiation oncology societies and other educational, governmental, and organizational groups.

Purpose: This study aims to determine dosimetric influence of rectal gas in carbon ion radiation therapy (CIRT) for prostate cancer and to establish a procedure for removal rectal gas in clinical scenarios.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed 18 prostate cancer cases with bulky rectal gas. The dose distribution was recalculated on computed tomography (CT) with bulky rectal gas (gasCT) after creating the initial plan on a CT without bulky rectal gas, and the doses were transformed using a displacement vector field.

3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) is synthesized by PAPS synthase (PAPSS) in two steps. In the first step ATP sulfurylase (ATPS) transfers sulfate group onto adenylyl moiety of ATP to form adenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (APS) and PPi. APS-kinase (APSK) then transfers the gamma-phosphoryl from ATP onto 3'-OH of APS to form PAPS and ADP.

Introduction: Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-HCT) involves a long trajectory with high risk of complications. In person-centred care (PCC), patients' needs, resources and the care relationship are central to the care process. Healthcare professionals' (HCPs) ratings of PCC have not previously been investigated in this context.

Esophageal cancer is the eighth most common cancer worldwide and the sixth leading cause of cancer-related deaths. In this study, we propose a novel esophageal stent equipped with a wireless, battery-free, and movable photodynamic therapy (PDT) unit designed to treat esophageal tumors with flexibility, precision, and real-time control. This system integrates a PDT unit and an electrochemical pneumatic soft actuator into a conventional esophageal stent.
