Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) has become an epidemic disease and is predominantly located in the head and neck area. While historically auricular NMSCs are treated by means of a wedge excision, we describe a more elegant technique with excellent esthetical results. We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 43 consecutive patients with NMSC of the auricle who underwent reconstruction with a full thickness skin graft (FTSG). All grafts survived. Two patients (5%) showed crust formation, but fully recovered. One patient had an irradical resection for which he required a limited re-excision. All patients showed excellent esthetical results. When treating NMSC of the auricle, reconstruction with a FTSG demonstrates several important advantages. It is a relatively simple but oncological safe technique; it leads to excellent esthetical and functional outcomes, and shows high patient and surgeon satisfaction.

Reconstructing severe cervical scar contractures (SCSC) remains a considerable challenge. This study presents a novel approach to SCSC reconstruction using a combination of pre-expanded bipedicled forehead and lower trapezius musculocutaneous flaps. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 25 patients who underwent this procedure between April 2004 and July 2020.

We report the usefulness of a tapered cutting needle, which has a polyhedral tip similar to that of a square needle and transitions to a round tip in the middle, for super-microsurgery. We have performed more than 500 lymphaticovenular anastomoses (LVAs) using tapered cutting needles. Therefore, we investigated the caliber of the anastomosed lymphatic vessels and veins, characteristics of the lymphatic vessels, the time required to perform the anastomosis, damage to the lymphatic vessels and veins during anastomosis, and patency of 30 recently performed consecutive anastomoses.

Introduction And Importance: Debulking surgery is the main approach for recurrent adult granulosa cell tumors (AGCTs), but the effectiveness of laparoscopic extensive cytoreduction in advanced cases and its impact on quality of life (QoL) remains unclear.
Case Presentation: A 34-year-old woman, who had a right adnexectomy for AGCT in 2020, was referred with an 8-month history of a large left ovarian cyst and amenorrhea. Preoperative evaluations indicated a recurrence 18 months post-diagnosis.

Developing damping materials that are both optically transparent and mechanically robust, while offering broad frequency damping capacity, is a significant challenge─particularly for devices that require protection without compromising visual clarity. Conventional methods often either fail to maintain transparency or involve complex designs that are difficult to implement. Here, we present an ionogel system that integrates a physically cross-linked elastic copolymer network with a viscous ionic liquid.

Introduction: Melanoma (MM), the deadliest form of skin cancer, originates from melanocytes. Despite advances in immunotherapy that have somewhat improved the prognosis for MM patients, high levels of resistance to treatment continue to result in poor clinical outcomes. Identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets is critical for improving the prognosis and treatment of MM.
