Background: The purse-string suture is a method for partial and complete closure of circular surgical defects.
Objective: Short-term and long-term efficacy and cosmesis were assessed to evaluate the utility of purse-string closure as the sole method of closure of Mohs defects in different locations.
Materials And Methods: Sixty-six circular wounds from Mohs surgery were closed with a running intradermal suture traversing the circumference of the wound. Preoperative and immediate postoperative wound areas were measured. Long-term cosmetic appearance was also assessed.
Results: An immediate decrease in average wound area was observed, most notably in the neck and arm. Long-term cosmetic results were best in the head and neck and were remarkably similar for a given anatomic area.
Conclusion: The purse-string suture is rapid, simple, and associated with little morbidity. In properly selected cases, it is an excellent alternative for partial and complete closure of circular defects resulting from Mohs surgery.

Background: How people affected by non-memory-led and inherited dementias (NMLDs) interact with online health resources is poorly understood. We conducted the world's largest survey exploring 'digital access in non-memory-led dementias' to learn directly from people with NMLD, their care partners and NMLD Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) about the NMLD experience interacting with web-based health resources.
Method: Four surveys [for individuals diagnosed with NMLD, care partners, care partner proxy for person with NMLD, HCP proxy] were co-developed with people with NMLD experience.

Recent advancements in viral metagenomics and single-virus genomics have improved our ability to obtain the draft genomes of environmental viruses. However, these methods can introduce virus sequence contaminations into viral genomes when short, fragmented partial sequences are present in the assembled contigs. These contaminations can lead to incorrect analyses; however, practical detection tools are lacking.

Fetal limb anomaly presentation varies greatly. It can present as amelia (complete absence of skeletal part of one or more limb), meromelia (partial absence of skeletal part of one or more limb), phocomelia (only rudimentary limb formed), and minor limb disorders like polydactyly. The complete absence of the four fetal limbs is extremely rare.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the distribution of coronary collaterals (CC) as per the Rentrop Collateral Score (RCS) among patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and its impact on in-hospital and 30-day mortality after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: In this study, a selected sample of consecutive STEMI patients was assessed for the development of CC as per the RCS classification. An RCS grade of 2 or 3 was taken as the presence of CC with either partial or complete filling of the infarct-related artery (IRA).
