We herein exploit a newly schemed logic gate to superiorly facilitate analysis of long and highly structured nucleic acids. This strategy uniquely enables the identification of NDM-specific genes and concurrent screening of two active site-encoded fragments, which is promising for evaluating microbial drug resistance.

By a simple condensation reaction, the receptor with anthraquinone moiety was synthesized and its sensing properties were explored in the anion sensing studies via colorimetric, UV-vis studies, fluorescence studies, and DFT calculations. The synthesized receptor senses both acetate and hypochlorite ions in DMSO medium. By the addition of all anions into the receptor the colour change was observed from pink to light purple colour for acetate ion and pink to light blue for hypochlorite ion.

In the era of artificial intelligence, there has been a rise in novel computing methods due to the increased demand for rapid and effective data processing. It is of great significance to develop memristor devices capable of emulating the computational neural network of the brain, especially in the realm of artificial intelligence applications. In this work, a memristor based on NiAl-layered double hydroxides is presented with excellent electrical performance, including analog resistive conversion characteristics and the effect of multi-level conductivity modulation.

A new photopolymerizable organic-inorganic (O-I) hybrid sol-gel material, AUP@SiO-184, has been synthesized and utilized as a gate dielectric in flexible organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). The previously reported three-arm alkoxy-functionalized silane amphiphilic polymer has yielded stable O-I hybrid materials comprising uniformly dispersed nanoparticles in the sol state. In this study, a photosensitizer was introduced, facilitating curing effects under ultraviolet light.

The early diagnosis of a disease relies on the reliable identification and quantitation of multiple core biomarkers in real-time point-of-care (POC) testing. To date, most of the multiplex photoelectrochemical (PEC) assays are inaccessible to home healthcare due to cumbersome steps, long testing time, and limited detection efficiency. The rapid and fast-response generation of independent photocurrent for multiple targets is still a great challenge.

A novel analytical method was designed and developed that exhibited ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis), fluorescence (FL), and resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS) signals for straightforward and comprehensive determination of monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) using polyethylenimine-functionalized silver nanoparticles (PEI-Ag NPs). Through a facile one-step experiment, and NaOH assisted, in an aqueous solution of 100 ℃ for 40 min PEI reacted with AgNO to generate PEI-Ag NPs with a yellow color and weak blue fluorescence. Interestingly, phenylacetaldehyde (PAA), a specific product of MAO-B, causes significant enhancement of the three optical signals of UV-Vis, FL, and RRS.
