Objective: To observe the effect of platelet derived growth factor receptor β (PDGFR-β) transfected endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) on vascular regeneration.

Methods: Spleen-derived mononuclear cells (MNCs) were isolated using density gradient centrifugation and induced with special culture medium. EPCs transfection was performed with Lipofectamine(TM) 2000 reagent according to the instruction manual. Carotid artery injury was induced in splenectomized mice. EPCs were injected by tail vein immediately and at 24 h after endothelial injury of the carotid artery. Evans blue staining was performed to evaluate reendothelialization at 7 days after endothelial injury of the carotid artery.

Results: Most adherent cells were LDL and UEA-I double positive. Laser scanning confocal microscopy showed that transfection efficiency was about 50%-60%. The reendothelialized area in the PDGFR-β-EPCs group was significantly larger than that in EGFP-EPCs group.

Conclusion: Transplantation of PDGFR-β over-expressed EPCs can promote reendothelialization in the early phase after carotid artery injury.

Introduction In the realm of Carotid Artery Stenting (CAS), various access methods such as Transfemoral access (TFA), Transradial Artery access (TRA), and Transbrachial access (TBA) have been employed. While TFA is widely established, TRA and TBA offer alternative options. TBA lacks comprehensive studies, and there is a notable lack of comprehensive evidence systematically evaluating its outcomes.

Aim: Ischemic stroke remains one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide and ca-rotid stenosis is the leading etiology of ischemic strokes of non-cardiac origin. The chronic inflammatory process and pro-inflammatory state in carotid stenosis seem to be the most im-portant underlying factor in carotid occlusion. In addition to medical therapy and carotid ar-tery stunting (CAS) in the treatment of carotid stenosis, carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is the main surgical treatment of carotid stenosis and its prognosis is the main subject of our study.

Aberrant anatomical variation of the vertebral artery (VA) from an internal carotid artery (ICA) is considered a rare finding. The incidence of this phenomenon can lead to patients suffering from posterior circulation neurological deficit if the ICA becomes significantly diseased. VA atypical anatomical origin is considered one of the rare pathologies, not only precipitating neurovascular incidents but equally leading to severe difficulty in VA dissection and surgical exposure, especially in carotid artery procedures.

Acute ischemic stroke, a medical emergency caused by reduced cerebral blood flow, results in brain cell damage. While commonly associated with older individuals, strokes can also occur in young and middle-aged adults, posing significant socio-economic and health challenges due to the long-term impact of the condition. This poses significant socio-economic and health challenges because stroke is a leading cause of disability and mortality.

Objective: To develop a machine learning-based model for predicting the clinical efficacy of acupuncture intervention in patients with upper limb dysfunction following ischemic stroke, and to assess its potential role in guiding clinical practice.

Methods: Data from 1,375 ischemic stroke patients with upper limb dysfunction were collected from two hospitals, including medical records and Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) reports. All patients received standardized acupuncture treatment.
