Primary amyloidosis (AL) is the most common amyloid systemic disease and it is characterized by the deposition of immunoglobulin light-chain amyloid fibers in different organs, causing organ failure. The germ-line lambda 3 immunoglobulin light-chain proteins have been correlated with the AL condition. Two mutants have been derived from this germ-line, the single mutant C34Y (3rC) and the triple mutant C34Y, W35A and P7D (3rCWP), presenting a remarkable difference in amyloid fibril formation propensities in vitro. Here we report the (1)H, (13)C and (15)N resonance assignments of these proteins, as the first step to use solution nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to get a better understanding of the amyloid fibril formation differences between these two mutants.

Objectives: To develop and validate a lesion-based grading system using clinicopathological and MRI features for predicting positive surgical margin (PSM) following robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) among prostate cancer (PCa) patients.
Methods: Consecutive MRI examinations of patients undergoing RALP for PCa were retrospectively collected from two medical institutions. Patients from center 1 undergoing RALP between January 2020 and December 2021 were included in the derivation cohort and those between January 2022 and December 2022 were allocated to the validation cohort.

Importance: In the Atrial Cardiopathy and Antithrombotic Drugs in Prevention After Cryptogenic Stroke (ARCADIA) randomized clinical trial, anticoagulation did not prevent recurrent stroke among patients with a recent cryptogenic stroke and atrial cardiopathy. It is unknown whether anticoagulation prevents covert infarcts in this population.
Objective: To test the use of apixaban vs aspirin for prevention of nonlacunar covert infarcts after cryptogenic stroke in patients with atrial cardiopathy.

Introduction: Sleep deprivation (SD) significantly disrupts the homeostasis of the cardiac-brain axis, yet the neuromodulation effects of deep magnetic stimulation (DMS), a non-invasive and safe method, remain poorly understood.
Methods: Sixty healthy adult males were recruited for a 36-h SD study, they were assigned to the DMS group or the control group according to their individual willing. All individuals underwent heart sound measurements and functional magnetic resonance imaging scans at the experiment's onset and terminal points.

Photonics bound states in the continuum (BICs) are peculiar localized states in the continuum of free-space waves, unaffected by far-field radiation loss. Although plasmonic nano-antennas squeeze the optical field to nanoscale volumes, engineering the emergence of quasi-BICs with plasmonic hotspots remains challenging. Here, the origin of symmetry-protected (SP) quasi-BICs in a 2D system of silver-filled dimers, quasi-embedded in a high-index dielectric waveguide, is investigated through the strong coupling between photonic and plasmonic modes.

We wished to compare the diagnostic performance of texture analysis (TA) against that of a visual qualitative assessment in identifying early sacroiliitis (nr-axSpA). A total of 92 participants were retrospectively included at our university hospital institution, comprising 30 controls and 62 patients with axSpA, including 32 with nr-axSpA and 30 with r-axSpA, who underwent MR examination of the sacroiliac joints. MRI at 3T of the lumbar spine and the sacroiliac joint was performed using oblique T1-weighted (W), fluid-sensitive, fat-saturated (Fs) T2WI images.
