The blood plasma levels of medium-mass molecules (MMM) have been studied by UV spectrophotometry in patients with hemophilia A, B, and AB. The hemocoagulation status has been estimated with the use of the parameters reflecting the general blood coagulation ability and with the correction tests, using the thromboplastin generation test. The MMM levels in all hemophilia forms under study have been found essentially elevated vs. those in health. A clear-cut relationship between the severity of hemostasis disorders, blood plasma MMM levels, and the coagulologic parameters has been demonstrated.
