Objectives: Despite the centrality of time to the aging process, the well-being consequences of different temporal orientations for optimal aging are poorly understood. We investigate one underexamined area of temporal orientation, namely a balanced time perspective, in a large, lifespan sample from the Netherlands.
Method: Participants consisted of 512 Dutch adults ranging in age from 17 to 92 years (Mage = 46.46, SD = 21.37), including 186 male and 326 females. Participants completed a measure of balanced time perspective, mental health, and wisdom.
Results: RESULTS indicated that a balanced time perspective uniquely predicted both mental health and wisdom even after controlling for demographic, physical health, and personality variables. Younger adults tended to be more future-oriented relative to older adults while older adults tended to be more past-oriented relative to younger adults. Further, both midlife and younger adults were more likely to have a balanced time perspective relative to older adults.
Conclusion: A balanced time perspective is associated with higher well-being and wisdom across the adult age span.

Objective: This observational study investigated the relationship between occlusal balance and the tightness of restorative-contralateral occlusal contact in patients undergoing dental implant restorations.
Methods: A total of 100 patients who received dental implant restorations at our hospital between July 2022 and July 2023 were included. Patients were divided into two groups based on occlusal closeness: an observation group (using 12 μm occlusal paper for occlusion) and a control group (using 20 μm occlusal paper for occlusion).

An elevated prepartum BCS is a risk factor for postpartum hyperketonemia (HYK) and elevated nonesterified fatty acid (NEFA) concentrations in dairy cattle. The association between different adipose tissue depots, such as subcutaneous (SCAT) as well as visceral adipose tissue (VAT) depots, and HYK and elevated NEFA concentrations remains unknown. The objective of this 2-part study was to describe SCAT and VAT depots using ultrasonography during the transition period and to associate them with metabolic markers of negative energy balance in early postpartum dairy cows.

To this end, statistical methods which describe high-dimensional neural time series in terms of low-dimensional latent dynamics have played a fundamental role in characterizing neural systems. Yet, what constitutes a successful method involves two opposing criteria: (1) methods should be expressive enough to capture complex nonlinear dynamics, and (2) they should maintain a notion of interpretability often only warranted by simpler linear models.

Introduction: This study utilized a injectable curcumin (Cur)-infused calcium phosphate silicate cement (CPSC) for addressing defects caused by bone cancer, and evaluated its promoting bone regeneration and exerting cytotoxic effects on osteosarcoma cells.
Methods: The material's physicochemical properties, biocompatibility with osteoblasts, and cytotoxicity toward osteosarcoma cells were rigorously analyzed.
Results: The findings demonstrate that CPSC-Cur signicantly prolongs the setting time, which can be optimized by adding silanized cellulose nanober (CNF-SH) to achieve a balance between workability and mechanical strength.
