The interplay between head pain caused by sinus disease and primary headaches is complex. Classification of secondary headaches, attributed to disorders of the nose or paranasal sinuses has been recently updated. New treatments including office- based procedures are emerging for patients with chronic sinusitis. This paper briefly reviews sinus disease and headache.

Background And Purpose: Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) are the most common causes of chronic sinusitis from systemic granulomatous diseases. While both are small- to medium-sized vasculitis with necrotizing granulomas, they have different clinical courses and prognoses. High-density sinus opacification has been reported in allergic fungal sinusitis with eosinophilic infiltrates.

Our case report characterizes a rare presentation of mid-ventricular Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) in a patient with suspected myocarditis as an underlying cause. Mid-ventricular TTC is a rare variant of TTC presenting with overlapping symptoms and physical exam findings of acute coronary syndrome, which often leads to misdiagnosis as myocardial infarction. Our case is of a 77-year-old female patient with a history of hyperlipidemia, right breast ductal carcinoma in situ, and diverticular disease who presented to the emergency department for evaluation of chest pain radiating to the jaw with associated nausea and vomiting.
